As an Iraqi, i can categorically state that pakistani, bangladeshi and indian muslims or their offspring living in the UK have NOTHING WHATSOEVER to do with Iraq! They are not connected to Iraqis, Ethnically, Linguistically, Culturally, Historically, socially or in terms of physical appearance.
The reason these British muslims of south asian origin (as well as Somalis, Eritreans, Sudanese etc) involve themselves in Iraq are for the following reasons:
1. As a result of frustration at having utterly failed as immigrant communities in the UK. Consider, some of the highest rates of unemployment, percentage of prison population etc, lowest standards of education and integration etc...in contrast to the success of Poles, Jews, Middle Eastern Christians,Greeks..
2. An inherent intolerance in their culture and religion towards, Criticism and other religions, 1400 years of persecution against non muslims in the islamic world, the Rushdie Affair and the Danish Carton issue prove this!

3.Frustration and anger that the stagnant muslim culture no longer has any level of dominance in the world, whether it be Militarily, Politically, Socially, Economically, Technologically or Culturally.....The terrorism we are now seeing has NOTHING to do with Iraq or Rushdie, but rather the death cries of a dying and failed violent and intollerant culture!

Have the Middle Eastern people changed in the last thirty years ? In the 70s, the Iranians were reasonable folk, Beiruit was the playground of the Eastern Med and although we viewed the Saudis as greedy, well that was just business. Sadat was worthy of a Nobel prize, and the only fly in the ointment was good old Yasser, who changed from being portrayed an extremist to being the voice of reason in the area.
It's all BS. People don't change and neither do basic attitudes. What changes is how the government propaganda chooses to illustrate them. Gerry Adams...saint or sinner. Martin McGuiness, Ian Paisley ......they are now on side, but before they were shown as supporting the IRA, UVF etc. Now they are the good guys. Don't believe what you read in the newspapers, because you are just being manipulated and you thoughts are being taken over by Westminster and the White House.

They should stop, they will stop, and the rest of Islam will be the major force stopping them.
The revolution has begun! Islam will change!
Islam will survive!
Bless you on the front lines. I'm back here in the U.S.
Freedom, on your terms, equality with your style, and religious tolerance will be yours. Islam will flower, will grow, will become a center of civilization again.
I post some negative things about Islam, but few see the message. You do. Keep speaking up. We'll keep fighting here to make sure that the United States plays only at being a younger sibling (we're a lot younger than Iraq!) helping out rather than as an adult beating his elderly parent.
Iraq has an ancient and rich culture we can't afford to lose in the quest for freedom. Good luck with the quest. Let us know how we can help.

Yes, British South Asian Muslims have nothing to do with Iraq. Well done.
But these British Muslims only involve themselves with Iraq due to solidarity. What's wrong with that? And how have these communities failed? Have you seen the number of British Asian doctors here?
And then you have the gall to add that the intolerance is not by a few but by all.

All people who feel oppressed or "keep down by society" are easily influenced by those who offer easy answers, like "it's the white mans fault" or "it's the Jews fault", & history has shown the same end result, hate, war, & finaly coexistance..seems pointless all this hate.

That's interesting, but it isn't really a question.
Also, the 'answer' about how Iraqis can't possibly have a good grasp of English is pretty ignorant.

They are just using Iraq as the latest excuse to do what they want to do anyway. Islamic terrorism has been going on way before Iraq.

.REALLY?....Can you categorically disassociate yourself with the reasons?
1.you do not know the difference between a nation and a religion?...Poles( I do believe you mean people who are Polish?)People of the Jewish faith are all over the world living happily, as is people of my own faith, Greek Orthodox/Catholic.( A mixed faith marriage that worked so lovingly and taught me and my siblings so much)
Jews, let me see, do you mean Israelis, people of the Jewish faith or are you on about 'Poles' again????
The frustration of failed immigrants???
Really???, go vent your ugly frustrations elsewhere, live in your own country, tell your wee pals not to come here as they will get persecuted, end up in jail and have no education(like yourself) If by chance you have wee pals who want to integrate in our culture and don't want to blow up our land , hey.......they are welcome.....
P.S It rains a lot here, better to stay where you are .....
