Well, since Britain conquered/colonized a sizable chunk of the planet, their leadership is often needed and, often requested.

Ever notice that the places that Britain colonized are pretty nice, and the places that everybody else colonized pretty much suck?

I was merely pointing out, in a friendly fashion, that British includes Welsh, Scots, and Northern Irish.
But, if the Paddies and the Jocks just want to use the question to put down the English: then the obvious reply to them is:

GB, America, France and Spain pulled a lot of S%$@ on the world over the years, and if the Indians, Indians, Africans, Asians, Arabs and South Americans have little else they have a good memory.
This is just the short list of "haves" that have beaten down the "HAVES" (oil, gold, diamonds, slaves, tin, spices, tea, coffee...) Shame on us!

I hate their government and policies, but let us face it, their time on the world stage is done. They are finished - vanquished, their empire dissolving - a third rate nation soon to be, thankfully, confined to England.

However, I do not hate the people themselves. Am Irish from the six.
