News just came in, Blair publicly accepted that the war in Iraq is a disaster. I guess that would be a bitter pill to swallow for Bush. If there are any pro Bush supporters, I really want to see your opinions.

Look at the link below.

I am a successful entrepeneur; most of the entrepeneurs I meet are first generation Americans who understand from their past struggles that life isn't easy and you have to work hard to get ahead. When I try to hire solid employees; the first questions we always get concern money, vacation and benefits. It seems as if our work ethic is disintegrating and everyone expects maximum pay for minimal work OR the government to support them if they don't work. C'mon people this isn't what our forefathers had in mind!!!

( 1 ) 35 million americans don't have enough to eat, yet I keep hearing about our booming economy ... how is this possible?

( 2 ) How is it possible to be in a booming economy while the average family of 4 needs to spend $160./wk on groceries, but only makes $205./wk ?

( 3 ) The USDA decided to eliminate the word, "hungry". The 35 million people aren't hungry ... they're experiencing "Low Food Security". What? Did they think we wouldn't understand those 3 words? Like, maybe we'd think "Low Food Security" meant something else?

( 4 ) Bush has stated that by the year 2010, the current number of folks dealing with "Food Insecurity" will be cut in half. Easy math tells me that 17.5 of our current "Low Food Security" folk will have full stomachs in 4 years. Ok, but with population growth, won't there be more than 17.5 million Low Food Security people left behind?

( 5 ) How could this happen in the U.S.A. ???

It seems as though the pain we felt has been subdued. If we don't combat these people then we will suffer and our way of life will be gone. Those who attacked us bank on that and are continuing to plan further attacks. Does it appear to you that the majority of Americans want to stick their heads in the sand and hope it won't happen again as is reflected in the recent elections?

Israel has killed over a thousand innocent Palestinians this year... meanwhile Hamas has abided by its truce and not killed a single Israeli or used a single suicide bomb since 2004.

Nonetheless Israeli troops and tanks are nightly terrorizing people in the West Bank and Gaza... rockets are fired nightly into the most populated area on earth by Israel... an entire family of 18 people was wiped out just the other night by israeli tank shells... a 12 year old girl was shot in the head 3 days ago by an israeli sniper..

and still you people support Israel.. its insane,

what kind of democracy is it when u have 2 choices for who you want in office, a democrat or a republican. When will the younger generation start an independent movement thats for the people not for the good of a single party? What is the appeal with voting democrat and republican? arent they short sited attempts at solving are problems? I want a free independent thinker in office who arent limited by the scope of a party.

If the Iraq war was all about oil, why didn't we just buy it from them? It would be a lot cheaper than the war we are in now!

i think marijuana should be legal. i wonder how many of you in your 20's or 30's would consider voting to legalize it. Seems like things stay conservative because Our generation still listens to our parents, especially the ones who are actually doing the voting. But if you really had to think about it, wouldnt legalizing drugs end a lot of violence and actually save us tax dollars. Is my generation with me or do you all still think marijuana will turn people crazy and starting riots in the street like what they reported when they made it illegal for the 1st time.

It was already passed by the house but Hillary and Biden and Kennedy are stalling it forever because they want to impose socialized medicine and since this would help small businesses and they do not care about small business they hope it will never be voted on.

The precursor of the U.N. was the brain child of President Wilson(The League of Nations). The U.S. never joined it though. After WW2 the U.S.A. was the driving force behind the U.N. Now Americans don't appreciate that it is your baby. It's Universal Declaration of Human Rights is the basis of avoiding war through preventing war yet Republicans think its a socialist manifesto. What changed? P.S. I'm Canadian.

PLEASE if you are not smart enough to know that political affiliation does not determine your being conservative or liberal, or that Lincoln was the only one who was a member of the present day GOP DO NOT ANSWER THIS QUESTION
Jefferson was an agnostic who slept with a black slave named Sally Hemmings. He was a revolutionary traitor to the Crown who championed religious freedom and was anti slavery (very liberal ideas for there time. As President he cut military spending supported the French revoloution and had the louisiana purchase. (a large govt program? sounds pretty liberal)
Teddy Roosevelt was a trree hugging, union supporting, Trust buster, who loved Govt regulation started the FDA, SEC S&L Nat Parks dept,
Lincoln the south seceded because they thought he was to liberal to defend slavery and southern rights
The reason this question is on here is to prove that liberal does not equal weak and evil, and that party affiliation may not represent your issue.
