You can tell O'Reilly really, really, really wants to be considered smart and popular by the people who most think he is an idiot (you know, people who actually graduated from college). And the fact that they think he is an idiot pisses him off no end. And his sexual harrassment was really the last nail in the coffin. His ratings have been in a freefall ever since. The only people who watch him are crotchety old Midwesterners. If you don't believe me, take a look at his demographics. His vieweres between the ages of 25-54 dropped ELEVEN PERCENT....in ONE QUARTER. Ouch.

Biased people hate balanced, fair people.

Sometimes the facts are politically incorrect...

I recommend Bill O'Reilly's book, "Culture Warrior"- it's great.

Because he's a blustering bully with thin skin and a hypocrite. Espousing values and morality out one end, hitting up phone hookers and lying about his accomplishments on the other. But he's actually good for liberals. We often point to him and say that's what happens when you embrace ultra-conservative, jingoistic principles. Al Franken has him nicely pegged in "Lying Liars....", and only those who like to have their right-wingnut views repeated back at them are likely to tune in.

And yes, I've seen his show. It's pretty bad. Saying that it has merit because it's popular is like saying smoking is healthy because millions of people practice it.

I'm a republican and I dislike Bill O'Reilly. He isn't terribly well informed.

Because most people don't watch his show and only hear clips from people who don't like him.
