What is the appeal with voting democrat and republican? arent they short sited attempts at solving are problems? I want a free independent thinker in office who arent limited by the scope of a party.

There are other parties. They don't have enough support to have any influence. Independents can & do run. Party label or lack thereof isn't a qualification.

My husband and I are both registered as independents. The way it is now you just have to pick the best of the worst.
