think its okay to pretend to be a US Military soldier and play on people emotions enough to get them to thank him for his service. This is the most disqusting thing I have ever seen. I literally almost had an anurism this made me so mad. and if you dont think he is lying read his other posts and put 2 and 2 together.

I have discussed this with a few people and most say something like we should leave the middle East to the middle East regardless of the consequences. I asked this the other day but I thought there might be more people here now with ideas so I wanted to ask again.

Will you protest in the city of Melbourne today and become one of the unwashed idiots? Tell me why, if you understand that is.

I have been pondering about this for sometime and even though I am from the greatest state in the country (TEXAS!!!), I feel different from most people. I tend not to believe that we are in Iraq for oil and money but for fighting terrorism. Would any other president responded any different or would we have just said "DAMN, they got us" and forget about 9-11. How about Katrina, is it really the president's fault for certain people not getting out of harms way? I don't keep up with everything he does, mostly the things they dont really show on the news, so maybe it the acts and bills that he passes that people dont agree with. I don't feal he is as bad as people say he is but he isn't the greatest president either. I really dont want any short answers and am looking for more explanations and facts then opinions. Let me know some thing that I probably dont know. I want to see where people stand on this issue. Thanks in advance

I'm an independant, and by my observance it seems to me that conservatives and liberals have officially "waged war" on each-others beliefs.

Does the far left and far right out-and-out hate eachother now? I see no tolerance on either side for eachother or their beliefs any more.

Wouldn't that be supporting the troops?

or was the phrase "Support the Troops" just used like waving the flags and bibles during elections?

Or do the same ones guard a different President after an election?

(Granted they are still fit to continue serving)

Example, the Secret Service men that guarded Clinton, after the 2000 election, did the same ones go on to guard Bush or did they get new ones?

It seems like we let politicians do way too much toward the control of our lives, I know they are supposed to be "Our" elected representatives but I think we all know that's very seldom the case these days, so just like states have ballot initiatives, should we force the Government into creatin National Ballot Initiatives, Issues like Abortion, Gay Marriage, etc would be resolved by these iniatives, also it seems to me it would offer more flexability has the national attitudes shift over the course of time and new discoveries, for example say Issue X was passed with a 60% vote but after seeing Issue X in operation wasn't working as planned it could be back on the ballot again and changed, in the end though it will be the peoples will by majority vote that rules the day rather than some lobbyists who contributed more for his/her business interests

I'm very poitically active in my community and I hope to be a politician one day. So I love talking about such controversial social issues like abortion, which almost everyone has an opinion on. Personally, I'm a huge liberal so of course I'm pro-choice but whether if you're for or against abortion, please give me a lot of detail for why you feel that way. That way I have a better idea of what the average or majority of Americans think on social issues. Thanks and I hope to get a lot of answers! Speak your mind!!!!

I think many of our President's policies are detrimental to Americans. I also feel he has no regard or respect for the Constitution. Am I now a traitor for voicing my opinion?

Liberals say everyone should be treated fairly and equally, they think my responsibility is to give money to the govt so they can give it to the poor. Torturing a POW NOT of this country is illegal under the Constitution of the United States of America. But when a regime tortures and kills 100s of 1000s of people we had NO reason to help them.

Dont give the the "your stupid" answer. maybe I am explain how this is not hypocritical...
