Suddenly - for almost the only time in its history - the British nation is under constant photo-scrutiny; while practically every word anyone utters is subject to serious examination and severe censorship.
No wonder most people in the UK fear that, now - thanks to Tony Bliar...! - their precious "Freedom of Speech" is a thing of the past.

"Since the time of Ben Gurion, the behavior of the Israeli regime has been Jekyll and Hyde. In the 1950s, its intelligence service, the Mossad, had agents in Egypt blow up U.S. installations to make it appear the work of Cairo, to destroy U.S. relations with the new Nasser government. During the Six Day War, Israel ordered repeated attacks on the undefended USS Liberty that killed 34 American sailors and wounded 171 and included the machine-gunning of life rafts. This massacre was neither investigated nor punished by the U.S. government in an act of national cravenness".Patrick J. Buchanan.
On July 22, 1946, Menachem Begin ordered the bombing of the King David Hotel in Jerusalem. The bombing was an attack against the British government who controlled Palestine and was carried out by members of Irgun — considered a terrorist organization by the British . The hotel was the headquarters for the British Secretariat and a base for the military command. Almost 100 ppl killed.

Look: I respect the freedom of speech but this **** is getting old! I did not like it when they did it to Clinton nor do I like what some are saying now about Bush! Face it! He's our president for another two years! I don't really believe that our president would authorize an invasion of Iraq and Afghanistan without probable cause. The president only knows what the IAEA and the CIA have informed him of. He was not in Iraq looking for WMDs! His experts or "so called experts" where. And alot of people agreed with the president on the decision to invade Iraq. I think where the president went wrong was when he did it without U.N. approval. But hell, If we get attacked or threatened by another evil Empire do we always have to go to the U.N.? I'm sorry, but if I'm president and my nation is being attacked and the U.N. doesn't like it, well tough ****! You people want to blame the president but there is plenty of blame to go around if this was truly a bad mistake on the part of our government

I do! I think there are already terrorists here, planning another attack! I don't see how the border patrol could keep EVERYBODY out. Lets just hope that it doesn't happen.

No one could NOT change his mind unless he has no mind.
Occupying other people by force is losing policy in the past and now and has no future.

In my state, utah, over 90% of all elected officials are mormon. All mormons are trained practically from birth that the church president recieves instructions directly from God himself and that all mormons must be obedient to the 'brethren' (the president and his council). No law is even voted on without approval from the 'brethren', which has allowed the church to outright purchase mainstreet and most of downtown Salt Lake City, they even beat out the ACLU! Is this right!!

P.S. A fellow named Mitt Romney is running for President of our country, guess who HE answers to!!

Will they ever learn? Israel tries to impose a crushing blow on hizbollah by reducing Lebanon to rubble. A few months later Hizbollah now has such support and power its on the verge of a coup! When will the western governments realise ther only way to solve the middle east is to address the root causes, rather than to just react in a way that just makes the enemy stronger? Look at Al Qaeda more recruits than ever.

I realize that during the pre-election excitement this forum was used for a lot of name calling and derogatory statements, but that was, at least, somewhat fun. Now the category of "Politics" is just a vast wasteland. I, as a very, very liberal Democrat, would really like to read what other people believe in, or see to be answers to societal problems. (I have been known to change my mind on issues--even to split my vote.....) Don't spew out hate and rhetoric--Tell me what you believe, and back it up with facts!
