Freedom of speech has never existed, it was just a falacy for us to feel secure in this society, just an oxymoron though, like human rights.

Don't forget it's now illegal to protest against anything in public in the UK without permission from the police :-(
Don't fall for the misdirection gag of party politics - there is no opposition, only actors playing roles; some of them may think they're genuine but they're only being fooled like the public. The moneylenders are in charge and have been for centuries. Don't take my word for it - look into it for yourself; I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't stumbled onto it while looking into the inconsistencies of various official stories (9/11, 7/7, Madrid, USS Liberty, Gulf of Tonkin etc. etc.). Like I said, don't take my word for it but what would possess any sane individual to take Tony Bliar's or George W's or Lyndon Johnson's or Harry Truman's word?

The people who opposed mrs thatcher will be so sorry now.
She gave us our freedom and national pride.
Just look at us now,
hes spent our childrens futures on buying votes and employing half the nation in the public sector.
We cant demonstrate, we cant sya what we want , we have a thousand acts of parliament restricting our rights under the guise of "prevention of terrorism"
I think most people are waking uop to tony blair now.
he is everything that is bad for our country.Hes he murdered our great nation in a mere 9 years.
Why does he go on embarrassing himself, he will never be respected.
Lets get him out, find ourselves a strong leader that really cares about britain.
spread the word.
WE want britain back!

Despite the pessimism of 'voodoblu' freedom of speech did exist in this country to a large extent up until May,1997. Of course if you went round slandering other people your freedom of speech would be curtailed by the law. This socialist government disguised as New Labour are determined to turn us into the epitome of the citizens of 1984. Find it hard to believe?. Wait and see.

Freedom of speech so long as it commonly believed to be OK. despite not being a supporter of the BNP I be live they should be allowed to say what they want. this is not some privilege, but a human right. By the same right, I am allowed to protest, argue, debate. Of course, the government was seriously thinking of changing this so everybody goes around silent. I say it again, die on your feet, or live on your knees?

Yes, and as time goes by, younger generations believe that it is perfectly normal to censor speech. Their teachers and the left wing TV media will have been working on them to get them to accept this. You only have to look at some of the answers on this site to realise how naive some of the respondents are. Quite frightening.

Our rules on hate speech are the comparable because of the fact the different 26 eu Union member international places, as for something of the English talking international; New Zealand prohibits hate speech below the Human Rights Act 1993 - In eire it extremely is roofed by utilising The Prohibition of Incitement to Hatred Act 1989, - In Canada you may nicely be prosecuted for inciting hatred against any 'identifiable team' is an indictable offence below the criminal Code of Canada - Australia's hate speech rules selection by utilising jurisdiction, and seek for fairly to avert victimisation as subsequently race. In South Africa, hate speech (alongside with incitement to violence and propaganda for conflict) is in specific excluded from safety of loose speech interior the form So in certainty nearly all of the international places from English talking international do have rules prohibiting hate speech and The international Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR) states that "any advocacy of national, racial or non secular hatred that constitutes incitement to discrimination, hostility or violence would be prohibited by utilising regulation". All we are doing is following eu and international regulation in spite of if the guy behaving in a undesirable racist way is White, Black, Brown or the different shade, what the hell is erroneous with that, it extremely is led to justice. i won't be able to be certain why human beings have a venture with those rules, except they are racists who choose for the main astounding to spout their bigotry and prejudice in strategies and places which reason misery and is meant to intimidate others.

You people keep electing the same types of politicians in Britain...so the Brits have themselves to blame.
The people need to come out and deserve more free speech, and begins a grass roots campaign to change some of the laws to protect your rights.
