Like all presidents he has done positives (I will list) and negatives. All the bozos that can't see anything positive he has done are intellectually dishonest. Here goes.
1. cut taxes and actually increase revenues to federal govt(need to cut spending)
2.almost double revenue for education (don't know if that's really good)
3.Freed 2 nations Afghanistan & Iraq over 50 million people depite being demonize everyday.
4. Got Libya to give up it's nuclear program.
5. Prevented another Rwanda by sending in marines to Liberia and getting the OAS to take over peacekeeping.
6. Pledge 10 billion to fight AIDS in Africa.
7. Policy has gotten the US out of a recession that began before 9/11.
8.Policy has keep America from being attacked again which too many people have taken for granted until it happens again.
I could list his negatives but I think you said just positives.

specific, he observed the aspirational timetable. yet what he had pledged to do exchange into deliver the conflict to a "in charge end." The settee exchange into initially set up for 1000's of troops to proceed to be. besides the undeniable fact that, the President listened to his generals and the Pentagon, who have been pushing lower back against the Iraqi call for that there be no criminal immunity for any last troops. As such, the order exchange into issued for *all* attempt against troops to bypass away.

one thing would be "no child left behind." As a retired teacher, I feel it is one of the country's greatest accomplishments ever.
Even though there are glitches that are still being worked on, it has transformed education in the state of Florida. UNFORTUNATELY, teachers hate it because for once in our history, teachers are held accountable for teaching the basics and teaching them well. Puts a crimp in long recesses and whimsical field trips, etc. Students and parents become stressed and tired of the yearly testing. But heh, my kids are happy and getting a better education than my husband and I did at that age. Think global.

He has expanded the federal marine park system 600%.
He has the first non-oil energy policy since Carter.
He has pushed for an immigration bill.
He has pushed for global and UN aid to Dafur.
He has not interfered with Roe vs Wade
He has not banned stem cell research (only federal funding of it).
I think the biggest issues are what congress has NOT done in the last six years.
Education, health care, welfare, ethics and campaign finance reform.
Curtailing of government spending.
etc
etc
etc

He is the first president to alert the US to the radical islamists' plan for Americans. In light of the tremendous ignorance of US citizens on the topic that was a huge undertaking. We were blind.

Increased funding for veterans health care. The people that allow you to be free and practice your religion, go to school, live in a free world not oppressed. the list goes on and on in this dept. although alot of people do not like GW but an overwhelming amount of people voted for him twice..(i didnot) I think he got the US into a situation that has become very messy (Iraq) and now the people in the US don't like it,,can't balme them.. I think it is time for a change in some of our leadership at the highest level.. Are we ready for a woman, black, minority I don't think the US will vote in that direction..just my opinion..Good Luck to you!

flashrtp - an overwhelming number? he didn't get 50% first time and just the second. Increase VA spending, you need to check on a few facts before writing that again.
Here's one of his great accomplishment - No Child Left behind. He talks about that one. Of course the bill contained no money and pushed the cost down to the school board level where guess who had to deal with it or lose federal aid. Bingo you got it, us locals. It was da.. easy to pass a bill that had no monetary cost to it.

Besides lower taxes, given me (a military man) a tax break, helped to get us out of the Clinton-era recession, say 'go to hell you terrorist animals', nearly eliminate the dredge known as the social welfare system (thankfully), send aid to Indonesia (tsunami victims) and Pakistan (earthquake victims), actually get the Chinese to call out Pyongyang, oust the Taliban (equivalent to Japan's 1930s military dictatorship), and get rid of Saddam (a guy who gased his own people, invaded two of his neighbors on different occasions - Iran in 1980 and Kuwait in 1990 - ie millions of people died)

Stonwalbri I couldn't agree more. And especially on the Clinton issue because at least in PA people were losing their jobs to the point that unemployment benefits were extended to a year due to lack of job opportunities.
