Hey Fans
So, the Stern report has finally come out. For those who havn't heard, this was a report written for the British government by Lord Stern, the former Chielf Economist of the World Bank. He describes the economic costs of tackling the problem now, resulting in a possible swallowing up of 1% of the worlds GDP, and talks about 'dramatic, far-reaching' consequences, well in the range of of a 20% global drop in GDP, akin to another Depression.

So guys, whats your opinions? Does Stern argue the case effectively in your mind? Do you think its time the likes of China, India, America, Australia and the EU played there part and created a global pact, which has the teeth needed to enforce it?

Also, what's your opinion on the war? Just a simple "for", "against", or "neutral" will suffice.

I'll start so you see what I have in mind:
Mostly just the soldiers who have been there, or are there now. Everything else is emailed to me on my AKO account.
I'm neutral.

If you studied your History, you would see that the Clinton Administration granted just as many contracts to Haliburton as the Bush Administration. This did happen in Serbia as well. Why is the media not pointing this out to the public?

I'm not buying the Republican's whole vote for us or die strategy either. And the Democrats can't seem to offer anything more specfic either. It's like hold your nose and pick one.

China may not be willing or ready to play a responsible role in an international system aimed at encouraging peace and stability, a commission set up by the U.S. Congress said in a report released on Monday.

Is the U.S congress really in a situation where it can question another countries role in a peacful world?

With our government attempting to be the worlds policeman we have dumped billions in other peoples pockets over the issues the government would like you to think are important in IRAQ. Much of the money sent there has been squandered and lost... Billions of Dollars. Mean while we struggle to cope with the high cost of Medical Care and Drugs here at home while our borders remain unsecure and gas prices doing their yo-yo and the gas companies declaring even bigger profits. Jobs have been created, but to what degree is uncertain, but more importantly the wages that these jobs pay have decreased. So the middle class and the poor have actually lost money in this deal while the rich continue to profit from stocks climbing and tax cuts that enable the rich to build even more factories outside the country in china and elsewhere. Costs of College are climbing, the rich have no problems paying the costs but... what about you. So tell the country is important to you.

When the lead singer said, like she was ashamed that Bush was from Texas... I personally agree with her, because I can really say he's been the worst president this country has ever seen. Don't believe me? Then tell me, who was the worst president of the US? I think that they might have lost many of their so called "fans" but atleast they spoke freely, spoke truthfully; told the truth. I agree with her, I'm also ashamed that Bush is from Texas because I'm from Texas...In fact, I'm embarassed I'm from Texas now becuse of all that he has done, which is NOTHING, NOTHING good. Do you agree or disagree with what the Dixie Chick's said? Do you agree with me? Why? (Can't keep this issue out of my head)
