don't they know that the Bible suggests foreigners and their children make good slaves and can be passed on as "inheritance"?

And, would they be subject to the Inheritance tax?

"However, you may purchase male or female slaves from among the foreigners who live among you. You may also purchase the children of such resident foreigners, including those who have been born in your land. You may treat them as your property, passing them on to your children as a permanent inheritance." (Leviticus 25:44-46 NLT)

when she was going on and on about how the communist russians constantly bombarded their citizens with propaganda about how we Americans were evil capitalists who were only interested in world dominance...when the teacher said "but kids, we know who the real evil people who only want world dominance are, don't we, it's the communists" I raised my hand and asked "I don't understand, isn't what you're telling us propaganda also"? Man, i was rushed to the principals office and they wanted to know what i was being taught at home, etc...i was in 5th grade, and my family was about as apolitical as they came.. in those days kids were not allowed to be thinkers or question anything.....

What has caused the recent reinvigoration of religion in politics? By recent, I guess I mean beginning with Bush's terms. Is it a reaction against perceived immorality in society? Is it a reaction against the growth of Islam? Is it the development of science as a threat to religion?

I'm not trying to start a fight; I'm simply wondering what brought religion back into politics with such vigor.

"Anyone who thought this was going to be a picnic in Afghanistan-anyone who had read any history, anyone who knew the Afghans, or had seen the terrain, anyone who had thought about the Taliban resurgence, anyone who understood what was going on across the border should have known to launch the British army in with the numbers there are, while we're still going on in Iraq is cuckoo,.....

those who think Afghanistan and Iraq are something we're going to muddle through for another couple of years and then we'll be able to go back to a period of relative calm. 'I don't see that happening. I think we're in an extremely volatile, dangerous world."

Brigadier Ed Butler publicly stated that an international presence may be required in Afghanistan for the next 20 years, but he did not specify how long the British forces would have to remain."
