i suppose they can't accept the fact that if it wasn't for russia and its influence iran would hve been attacked, iraqi freedom fighters would hve no russian made tank shells and anti-tank mines to make I.E.D'S to fight of the nazi oil greedy invaders, and that basicaly u.s.a would be able to attack any country in the world, including china had it not been for russia.well im sure america will learn a lesson from this saying" it doesn't matter how big you think you are, there is allways someone bigger then you" amen.ohh forgot to mention the sterla's,r.p.g.s, kalashnikov's, and sniper rifles, and a few kornet missles all russian made and the very best.

Russia still is a very powerful country and not the threat it was before 1990. And I'm sure that Russia produces dandy weapons. And North Korea produces a-bombs now and soon Iran will have the bomb.
You are confused, my friend. People are not flocking to the former USSR because of the glorious weapons but because the price is right. So becoming good capitalists may indeed make them a better country.
And the Nazis haven't invaded anyone in 60 years.

Russia is selling their military equipment to help boost their dying economy. The equipment they are selling is the best they have but can't compare with the US. The Sukhoi fighter (Flanker) is their copy of the US F-15. They started making them in 1977?? It is good but NOT Superior to most of the other NATO top line fighters. the TU80?? Don't you mean T-80U? Again another late 70s tank. Very good in its day and cheap compared to the better tanks of the US, Isreal, Germany and England but can't stand up to any of them. Its is slower than the M1A1, fires slower and doesnt' have the accuracy.
Cheapest doesn't mean best by any means. If Russia wasn't hurting for cash they would be able to update their technology and keep up with the rest of NATO.

Russia still is a Super Power but they are not THE Super Power.
Tell ya what, why don't you write to Putin and ask him if Russia's arsenal is superior to the rest of the worlds. If you were ever to get a response I imagine it would be a humble one.
People are buying former USSR weaponry *on the black market* for two main reasons. The price is right and they aren't getting asked questions. Real responsible way of handling weaponry isn't it.

The weapons Russia sells are CHEAP, not the best.
And who said Russia isn't a superpower? Of course it still is...the Cold War ended because both sides finally admitted that neither country wanted nuclear holocaust. It was mutually beneficial for both sides to take a step back and look at the other possibilities.

brain washed puppet Americans,to that i say **** you,..your other comments are ,well funny..Russian airplanes are unreliable and old tech.their tanks look good, but are easy to put a hole in ,anti aircraft missiles are not the main stream .submarines and ships, again old tech ,look good but easy targets...i will say the the AK-47 rifle is more reliable than our m-16 because it uses a low tech gas metering system ,so less cleaning is required and it goes bang 100% of the time, our m-16 uses little piston rings and is mot so reliable.but AK is not as accurate as the m-16.oh Russian chicks are hot,and for export too ,mail order brides,so super super to the red giants ,peace...

The quality of your weapons does not qualify you for the "superpower" rank. You need to have an extremely great economy. You need to have a powerful military that can project it's power globally. And you need to have influence throughout the world. Russia obviously cannot be a superpower.

They are not a super power they are however not our friends. They export the weapons they have stripped from their own armaments. The AK is the only weapon that Russia produces that is a great weapon. The rest are no where near U.S. grade.

Actually the Russian policy of selling weapons at low prices, to every buyer, without checking his credentials very seriously, or questioning the use these weapons are intended for, is the main boost for Russian arms sales, but it also provided rogue countries and terrorist organizations with supply of sophisticated weapons.
