exactly!! and as i have said before i used to do telemarketing and I'll tell you they were very easily persuaded and if I a lowly phone jock was aware of that you can bet so was Karl Rove. A great many of these people have been brainwashed and are led by the nose by their "leaders" there is also another segment of this demographic these are baby boomers who were raised in very sheltered homes and middle and upper middle classes who had a taste of the good life got to be spoiled and a bit bratty but once in the real world needed a daddy figure to cling to for security they found religion as that daddy figure with no need to think for themselves and ppl. like limbaugh and orielly and coulter feeding into their basest hates that they would never admit to but they have these people also stroked that child in them crying for daddy by saying i'll think for you ,you just do as i say then you add in Fox News the propoganda machine of the RNC and there you are Republicans and Christians intertwined keep the "leaders" happy witha little $$ and there you go instant huge voting block.
Isn't Karl scary and a little briliant you gotta give credit where it's due but still all in all a scary eveil little man.

Cinner is RIGHT! When I used to believe in Santa Claus, it's not because I was young and gullible! It's because I was so SMART! And when I believed in the Tooth Fairy, it's not because I was simple-minded enough to take things on faith. It's because I had SO MUCH BRAINPOWER. And when Evangelicals believed that Bush was going to really try and pass an amendment banning gay marriage, even though it would mean being branded by history as a homophobic bigot, they weren't being duped into voting for the GOP by a bunch of lies, they were being SMART!

Great point, Cinner.

You have it backwards. It actually takes alot more brain power to accept things on faith. Simple minded people must be able to touch concrete proof, because they lack the brain power to have trust and faith.

I think that Republicans "went after Christians" because that would represent a majority of Americans.

I also think you can expect to see the DNC move right, in order to re-capture their lost votes.

Where will that leave poor liberals? Who cares.
