(This is not my idea I wish it was. I got it from my brother) :)

ok there will always be rich and poor but..

What if being rich did not give you more political power in society? If being rich meant just that but you did not have special power that the rest of the people in society did not have to select leaders and decide on policy?

How would that change the society?

Is this possible?

Is this something that you would want to have happen?

and...

Is this crazy radical or what? ;)

Do you care to know the truth about the President's veto of the Child Health Insurance Bill?

The president has repeated time and time again that he supports the $5 billion expansion of the program and has offered to sit down and negotiate the provisions of the bill.

Congress still pushed the bill through EVEN AFTER being told that some provisions they included were unacceptable.

So why then would they waste the time and money to push a bill through when they KNEW it would get vetoed?

That's right! They wanted to make sure that a bill dealing with an important issue like Children's Healthcare would get vetoed so that they could all get together, give high-fives, slap each-other's butts and make commercials about how evil Republicans are because they want to deny healthcare for children.

This is misuse of time and money, as a well as a clear abuse of power in order to wage political and media warfare on the president and the Republican party.

THE TRUTH...

You know how us youngin's are not going to get social security? Then wtf, should we still get taxes taken out or our checks? I'm sick of helping welfare and drug addicts and baby boomers. It truly isn't fair. Why doesn't someone go against this or petition against it? Who's with me?

Look at the controversy in Belgium, where the government has had to tell its ambassadors "No, we're not breaking in half"

So I actually read HR. 976 (http://www.govtrack.us/congress/billtext.xpd?bill=h110-976) this morning and realized a couple things.

1. I can't find the pork other than a military family job protection clause. Someone please point it out to me.

2. It'd be paid for by tabacco, not out people's pockets.

3. Would it not follow the philosophy of the Laffer curve (aka Reaganomics)? After all by giving families with lower incomes a lower health care premium would they not be able to put the rest of that money into the economy thus expanding the economy?

4. 300xs the poverty line, as is the language in the bill does not equate to 83,000. That figure was proposed by Spitzer as anyone living in NYC understands the extremely high cost of living. If people are happy with it as is, it also insures people in NJ up to $74,000 as median income in the state is $90,000+.

It looks as if he is hell bent on doing whatever he wants and to blazes with the Amercian people? Does he ever think of the safety of his own country and people? What good has he EVER really done concerning this issue? Is he really trying to turn us into a third world country? Why are Americans doing nothing about this? I am an old lady, but in my day people really cared about thier country!

Hong Kong is notoriusly known as the most polluted city in this world. In the past two days the roadside pollution index is recorded as high 150 and 140 respectively. As many as close to 2,000 Hong Kong senior citizens rang their personal emergency bells for emergengcy and about one hundred needed hospitalization for treatment. Many of Hong Kong side and back streets are parked with different kinds of vehicles and many of them are in idling engines. The two fossil power generating stations in Hong Kong combined with the pollution blow from Pearl Delta of China making many citizens sick and died in Hong Kong. The Hong Kong government keep on saying for years to improve the air quality and yet the publics find Hong Kong is getting more polluted each day.Just in the past two days many citizens were line up in the hospitals for emergency services and a few reported dead, too.
I think Hong Kong government must amend new laws to prohibit idling engines, over-heighted skyscrapers etc.

Yeah, I'm sure that if Prince was going to choose, he would choose Clinton over Bush. Luckily, he doesn't have to choose either the Democratic head or Republican head of the Lobbyist monster that we call the two party system.

Bush recieved a daily briefing on 8/6/2001 stating "Bin Laden determined to strike inside US".
So how could the 20th hijacker(moussaoui) be in FBI custody for weeks before 9/11 and the plot not be foiled?
Why did FBI HQ deny Minneapolis field offices' requests for FISA warrants for weeks before 9/11!
All of which makes me wonder what orders did Bush give after his briefing to ensure national seurity!
