I guess that explains the lack of empathy for low income, uninsured children. Bad president, no doughnut !

He doesn't. Under Federal law the United States Navy Medical Department is the single manager of health care for the President, Vice President, the Senate and Members of the House of Representatives. All receive free medical care. If the President needs hospitalization it is provided at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. The sole exception to the system in my lifetime was President Dwight David Eisenhower. He was treated at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C. because he was a retired general and already rated care there.
If the President had signed the latest version of the States Childrens Health Insurance Program bill, it would have given free health care to the children of parents earning up to $80,000 a year without any of those parents paying a dime of premiums.

None, its a happy perk, lifetime coverage for an eight year job. And don't ask about his pension...its to die for.
Not to mentions the coverage for his homes and Secret Service agents. No Slomans Shield for him, or his family.
It would be one thing, if they weren't millionaires many times over to start with, but they are.
When the Republicans raised Cain over Clinton's post Presidential perks, you would have thought the sky was caving in, now that the healthcare is on the other foot, no one says a word.

He pays nothing.
And the cost of the children's health care bill he vetoed would have cost the equivalent of 40 days of the Iraq war.

Wealthy people don't pay for health insurance, they just go to the best doctors and are billed directly for their services.

While President, the government pays for his health services. This is because we need a healthy, living president. So we pay for all his necessary expenses while in office, including food, lodging, transportation, and health care. There's also a very nice "retirement package" once he leaves office. Pretty good gig if you ask me.
