Fox reported that "Al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden will soon address the American people regarding the sixth anniversary of the September 11 attacks, terror monitoring groups have said.The SITE Intelligence Group said an internet announcement included a photo of Bin Laden from the upcoming video which showed his beard..."

Does anyone here agrees with me that this is something the government sends out routinely and deliberately prior to the coming 9/11 to scare and indoctrinate the American people, as they have done for the past 40 years?

Gaffe-prone US President George W Bush confused APEC with OPEC and transformed Australian troops into Austrians in a series of blunders in Sydney on Friday.

Mr Bush's tongue started slipping almost as soon as he started talking at a business forum on the eve of the APEC leaders summit.

"Mr Prime Minister, thank you for your introduction," he said. "Thank you for being such a fine host for the OPEC summit."

As the audience of several hundred people erupted in laughter, Bush corrected himself and joked, "He invited me to the OPEC summit next year."

Australia has never been a member of the Organisation of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC).

Later in his speech, Mr Bush recounted how Prime Minister John Howard had gone to visit "Austrian troops" last year in Iraq.

Mr Howard was visiting Australian troops. There are no Austrian troops in Iraq.

And does our constutition say you are not being patriotic if you don't believe in the President or the War. and is it true that most republicans are weathier than democrats? but dumber than most democrates is that true as well? are they mostly liars and cheats? and did Bill Clinton's extra martial affairs hurt our enconomy in any way. are Republicans so unsure of themselves that they will use any tactic to decieve the American people so that we will vote for them. and are we still making the rich richer and the poor poorer or that our children can't get a decent education or that people are losing their homes is it ok.Most Republicans always seems to blame everything on the Democrates, When will most republicans start accepting responsibilty for the mess we are in and stop blaming everyone else .President Bush is worried more about how much money he will make when he leaves office ,while our Men and women are dying in Iraq. no need to critque me I know my errors. thank you

I was involved in a debate about this with two friends during my lunch period today and easily spent 50 minutes on it.

I'd just like to hear what people think about it.

But first, I'd like to establish a few things:

1. Marijuana cannot kill you (unless you smoke a ridiculously large amount of it)

2. Being high is more or less like being drunk

3. No blatant ridiculous propagandic accusations, that means both sides too.

temp job, just got off active duty and joined the Navy Reserves. This guy that was cleaning in the parking lot said very non chalantly, did you hear that someone flew a plane into the twin towers? I just stood there with a blank look on my face. Then suddenly my co-workers came in, and one by one they were talking about it. We went upstairs to my boss' office to look at the tv and there it once. I felt panicked because I knew something was terribly wrong, people were dying, and the first thing I did was call my family in New Jersey. I can't tell you how much I cried on that day, and how much I still well up from talking about it, hearing about it, or watching footage. I have so many questions in my mind that have gone unanswered. I vowed to do what I can to help people, and to never take for granted that I am an American.

We want him dead, unlike President Bush who has dragged his feet for the last 6 years doing the job. For a President and a Party that always says "Stay the Course", you've all gone completely off course and have nothing but excuses to show for it.

Why then does the Mainstream Media show only Thompson, Guilinai and the others in their spotlighted choice when Paul was the clear winner?

You look at their poltical pages and they only show these Neocon favorites and you never see Ron Paul's name even though he has been the clear winner.

Why don't the American people deserve to see every candidate and have a tally of their poll results next to their names.

I could hardly believe my ears when I heard that Bush was threatening to veto a health care bill with the number of uninsured americans. Can the president really just veto any bill he wants just because it does not get the necessary votes in the house/senate? It doesn't make any sense. SO many americans are without healthcare, and yet the president still threatens to veto a bill that would help them to get it. Mind you I do not know exactly what the bill is about, but I can only assume it must be something that Americans need, as there are so many upset over the planned veto.

Mortgage service companies, which are responsible for calling on Americans to keep up with their loan payments, have assumed a pivotal role in President George W. Bush's market-oriented strategy for dealing with the pending wave of foreclosures in the subprime mortgage sector.

An estimated 6m high-risk subprime loans, worth a total of more than $1,000bn, are outstanding, which will in many cases reset to higher interest rates in the next 18 months, putting more than 2.5m Americans at risk of foreclosure.

"It is sort of like being in New Orleans a month before Hurricane Katrina hit when you know there is a storm coming," said Guy Cecala, of Inside Mortgage Finance.

personally, I think Bin Laden died years ago from kidney problems and who knows how much "material" we have laying around that can be doctored. Lets just say it is not convincing. When he appears on a HIGH resolution video holding a newspaper, then maybe he is alive and well...... at a CIA safehouse!

I asked her why and she said he is a racist. I asked what he said that made her think that. She said a friend told her he is a racist. I asked her to call the friend and find out what he said that was racist. She did and was told her friend was told by her friend. So neither of those two had ever heard him, yet are convinced he is a racist. What gives?
