Most Americans wouldn't be able to get their fat asses out of their chairs to fight for their country...And the answer is no, I would be protecting my family, I did my time in the military already

The U.S. IS being invaded. The answer to your question is that VERY few people are willing to put it down, 1776 style. We aren't a nation of people fleeing oppression, or of people starting anew, or even of people trying to make it for the first time, as a majority: we are a society of perceived entitlement and habit.
We pay people obscene amounts of money to write laws, and miniscule checks to enforce them. We sit idly as the world sucks out the advantage our ancestors gave us - AT BEST. Moreover, we gladly provide people who break our laws (citizens or no) better standards of living than many people who keep the laws. Nobody would be silly enough to mount an armed incursion - it would be bad for wherever they came from. We spend billions upon billions for drugs from the fertile crescent, South America, Russia... The Chinese wouldn't want our decrepit infrastructure, who does that leave to invade us?

The invaders are here - anyone who thinks being in a group (a religion, a political party, a gang, the media, etc) is more important than being an individual has already dropped their 2nd amendment right to bear their ideas as a weapon - they subsist in a zombielike state of feeding what the society pans out to them. Voting for evil, corrupt, wasteful obsolete people that are paid to keep the balance.

The question is, are YOU ready to repel them? Can you BEAT them instead of KILL them? Are we better? We used to be, but we aren't "them" anymore.

So far, the answer is pretty close to 0%. We can't even make enough babies the right way to continue what we had.

If you mean in defense of the Country--as in the land--about 60%, if on the other hand you mean to save the US Government, about 10%.

But no matter what I doubt that the majority would allow ourselves to be enslaved to any foreign power. They would have to exterminate the Bible Belt, most of the Northwest--outside of Seattle and Portland, Texas and the old Confederacy and the Central states to hold those areas. We billies know how to do many things that could make life "uncomfortable" for any invader. For God and Country!!!

I am for one. I have all of the ingredients of being a militia with guns and ammo and even several specialty items to take out 10 to 20 at a time.

Depends where the enemy landed. California, New York, Massachusetts would probably "go French" in the first 24 hours. Georgia, Texas, the Carolinas would be a whole different story.

Quite a few. Of course they'd have little choice in that they'd be enslaved, killed or fight.

By the way - I've always felt you can thank America's gun owner for making sure that won't happen. 200 million guns...tough country to occupy.

Which America are you talking about- North American or United States of America?

If you're talking about the United States, you're too late...

Where does the Mexican President get off telling the United States how to treat his fugitives- wait, are they fugitives too?

I wouldn't fight. I'd move to England actually. I don't think American soil is worth enough for 'everyone' to die for 1976 style. We can always make a 'New America.'
