If hezbolah was responsible, why is IRAN being forced into accountability?

Is this a Bush ploy, where his U.S. attorneys and judges cherry pick its lawsuits to help gain hatred against Iran?

If U.S. wants this enforceable, then does that mean that survivors of innocent people killed in Iraq, during the war, can Sue Bush and the U.S. for deaths caused by a war that was fought under unproven circumstances??

No WMD's ever found!
No links to Alqueda in the beginning!
All the pre-war intelligence that was held secret for so long!
And all the intentional mishandlings of the war..
breaking up the army, and causing civil unrest.

If U.S. can sue Iran, then can Iraq sue the U.S.??

Unfortunately, this has similarity to the Treaty of Versailles, which forced Germany to pay roughly £11.3 billion in reparations for the WW I. This treaty helped inspire the deft nationalism which sparked WW II.

Could this fine have similar effects?

Additionally, why are U.S. losses valued so much higher than say Iraq losses. The family of an Iraqi civilian killed by U.S. soldiers only gets $1000.

It seems like its guilty by association.
Unless theres proof that Iran government was involved then how can a judgement be held against them.

Thats like trying to hold Afganistan government accountable for what Al Queda has done.

But it would open a live by the sword die by the same sword mentality where the innocent familes that have died in Iraq, could and should use this same lawsuit against the U.S.

But it really is just another effort to use people that have died as an excuse to build a prelude to war campaign against Iran.

Why have Democrats not censored Bush?

Republicans are greedy arrogant people, but democrats are spineless, and trying to play position for next election.
Vote them all out..lets get some new blood in Congress,

This is stupid and the judge is an idiot.

Unfortunately in the US you can sue anybody for anything, and this seems to be one of those cases.

I can just picture the reaction of those in power in Iran. Their reaction is probably somewhere along the line of F### Y$$!!

If the survivors of terrorists killed in Iraq would sue the US, our gutless congress would probably pass a bill providing for monetary compensation to them.
This judge is grandstanding.Good material for O"Reilly's" most ridiculous item of the day."

Because the government wants moneyyyyy.
www.zeitgeistmovie.com. That movie is the documentary of a lifetime. It's about 2 hours long, the 2nd part is about the wars and how they were all lies, and the 3rd part is about what could happen in the future of government. The 1st part is about religion, and that's interesting too... but I think the 2nd and 3rd parts of this movie can answer a LOT of your questions. It definitely did for me.
Haha so if you have some free time.... ;)

I think you missed something or didn't read the entire article.
The incident happened in 1983.
24 years ago by my calculations. The lawsuit has been ongoing long before 2000 or Bush was into politics.

Attta boy. Get it off your chest.
Any which way you can.

This is a bad tactic. It was used by France after World War I, and the ensuing poverty in Germany as a result let the Nazi's come to power. That's why there were never any war reparations after WWII, in Germany or Japan, and there never should be again.

I think we need to knock off the leadership of iran and its military. Most iranians dont like the leader but wont do anything. The bush family has repeatedly invaded the wrong country.

FYI bush sr was in office in 1983. (VP)

Unfortunately you are an ignorant man so why bother to reply to your question. You wouldn't understand the reply even if it were spelled out in childish detail.
