If Bush had any guts we would have taken over that God forsaken country and gotten their oil. At least our soldiers wouldn't die in vain. But I guess that wouldn't be "politically correct".

After all the years of service, right or wrong this guy sez, hey, no I won't let this stuff go.
There is a point when in the interest of national security the rest of the world need not know our details. In a day and age of reality TV can you be sure a leak is a fact or intrepretation? But once in the pool of speculation it is always guilty vs innocent.
Between you and me, I have been a part of the system. It does not work at the state level. DO u really believe it works at such a high level of political theatre. I can not say Cheney is above reproach. But no attacks on US soil for 5 1/2 yrs they are doing something right. No US Coles or others like b4. US casualties I do not discount and never ignore. Such is war. No one wins. But add the numbers to 9-11 including first responder deaths due to illness. And we were blessed that so many evacuated the towers that day. Was anyone killed in WTC7? Or just some paperwork?
In some ways these witch hunts represent a political election.

I'm doing a study on settling arguments with people out of the country and who do not like how American Government works.

I would like to ask you guys to make Non-Confrontational Responses to the questions asked. This means you can't answer them defensively or take sides. Please control the content of your responses :D and if you are stuck you can skip to the next question. Do what you can :]

Thank you for helping me in my studies!(its the last question)

Q5:In your country , there are so many opportunities to improve one's life and to help make the world a better place for everyone. Why is is it that so many of your people don't take advantage of these opportunities?

If you had the chance would you prefer to be able to vote for you next head of state (and vote them out when you become sick of them) or do you like the present system where the head of state is imposed on you through being born into the right family and where you are stuck with them for life?

There are two US Government agencies that are trying to get laws that would require that every person be implanted with a tracking device that would take everyone's medical records and put them into a central data base. The idea is for the disaster responce teams to be able to identify people they find who might not be able to talk to them and get the correct medical inteventions needed.

To help insure everyone takes this mark, they plan on tying it to our food supply. The idea is that if you don't get the 'mark' you can not get food to eat.

I just don't remember which agencies are currently involved in trying to get this to become a real legal requirement.

I do know that the company that is making this device has called it 'The Mark' which is a small microchip that is imbedded in glass capsule, that can respond to em pulses much like ID badges now do. This would allow for everyone to be individually tracked. Do you know the US Agencies persueing this?

I heard a bill is going through congress that will impose a tax on overweight individuals to compensate for the additional cost they create in healthcare, and carbon dioxide emissions from passing gas. Do you support this?

solely based on the abortion issue, she has no opinion on Terrorism no opinion on the economy no opinion on healthcare no opinion on military or Iraq! She is solely basing her vote on Abortion and I enlightened her as much as she could be that Guiliani was pro choice and she said good she may vote for him!!!!!!!! Is this the caliber of voters Dems have in 08 and if so what on Earth are we to deal with if Dems take the Presidency in 08? I am horrified how ridiculously uninformed these Democrat voters are and how little they know about ourcountries issues and why they are even voting one way or the other! What a shame we live in a world with ignorant fools as these! Oh I am toltally questioning why I am friends with this numbnut by the way!!!!!!!!!!!!

"Illiteracy on the rise in America"

By Larry Roberts
14 October, 1998

"According to a recent US government report, The State of Literacy in America, released by the National Institute for Literacy (NIL), there has been a significant growth in illiteracy in America. Over 90 million US adults, nearly one out of two, are functionally illiterate or near illiterate, without the minimum skills required in a modern society.

The report is a devastating portrait of the social conditions in capitalist America, the country generally portrayed as the most advanced in the world. Out of 191 million adults in the US, as many as 44 million cannot read a newspaper or fill out a job application. Another 50 million more cannot read or comprehend above the eighth grade level."

Notice the article is from 1998. This is such a bad joke. Is it not disgraceful? No wonder Bush doesn't *do* diplomacy.

America is supposed to be the Government of the PEOPLE, not corporations..., that ought to be so... But, I don't think real profound change will come easily. Look at how hard it was for the Civil Rights movement in the 1960's, and that was100 years after Black people were already ensured freedom, but still didn't have it?
Look at how many movies Michael Moore has made, where almost every issue is stark blatantly obvious, but hardly a dent in the system.
Have we consensus that we need Health Care and to make Corporations pay their fair share, etc?.... This is a no-brainer, folks... MAYBE, but getting up and making sure they do so, won't be easy at ALL. We'll pay in blood....... Yes... Any ideas? All in favor?

He doesn't seem to think so. He believes in the "unitary executive", which is a fancy way of saying that he isn't responsible to no one. He can have people tortured, he can have anyone killed, and he isn't responsible to congress or the constitution.

Today, he said that he didn't have to follow his own law.
