If Bush had any guts we would have taken over that God forsaken country and gotten their oil. At least our soldiers wouldn't die in vain. But I guess that wouldn't be "politically correct".

The Iraqi people did not ask for our intervention to liberate them. If you remember it was only in the last 48 hrs before invading Iraq, that Bush changed his emphasis from WMD's to "freeing the Iraqi people." Think he's still chapped cause Saddam offered a reward for a hit on his daddy back in the 90's.

LOL...we have taken it over to get the oil! It's the main reason we went in the first place.
We are building 14 permanent military base there with huge runways. The Neocons (search PNAC) plan to have us there for approx 50 years.

Initially, the point of the war was that Saddam had weapons of mass destruction, and was aiding and abetting terrorism. The goal was to oust him, and put people into power who weren't terrorists, and from whom we could continue to purchase oil in a politically correct fashion. Looks like there aren't any of the "right people" over there.

If 'You " did that , it would cause outrage and war in the arab world against the USA , which would lead to world war 3 , and i don't think bush wants to be the man who caused world war three , and go down in all the history books as the US's most hated president !!
