If you had the chance would you prefer to be able to vote for you next head of state (and vote them out when you become sick of them) or do you like the present system where the head of state is imposed on you through being born into the right family and where you are stuck with them for life?

the rotal family have no power over the countrys affairs. if you mean prime minister then yes it would be nice to be able tochose the leader of the winning party instead of the party chosing for you, but i guess they chose the person they feel will represent them best.

I just love Status Quo! (well, someone had to say it, didn't they?).

I would dispose of the Royal Family - they are very expensive and do nothing apart from bring in tourists - I am sure that Thomas Cook can do equally as well. Having stopped paying out for all their lackeys, we can pay to repair the buildings that belong to the country (that they live in) and bring them up to standard so that the tourists can actually visit them - and since we aren't paying out all that money to them, it actually won't cost too much to get into the building and have a look around.

As it happens, the Queen has no real say in what goes on and it is the Prime Minister that does - if the rest of his cabinet agree!

So, while we do have the right to vote in our decision maker - what I really would like to be able to do is to also have the right to vote him/her out if I/we didn't think that they were performing well enough! That might make them think a bit more!

I personally would like to vote on every issue. I would like to hear all sides of all arguments. That is why I registered with myverdict.net.

I'm not a Brit, but if you mean the royal family, they've no power at all - are just figureheads, albeit expensive ones.

The royal family don't worry me, but having a new prime minister foisted on us, really gets up my nose
