...in fact, Iraq is only the beginning, isn't it? It was a perfect setup. Next will be an attempt on Iran; then Syria. If we scare them enough next will be the largest oil contributor, Saudi Arabia. It all makes sense now. The mighty United States flexed her muscles, scaring everyone!! Bush was merely a catalyst, a tool. The overall plan has nothing to do with bringing about democracy or freedom or liberty. The administration doesn't seem that concerned that over a million are fleeing Iraq. Because Iraq, It's such a -- well, a dduummmppp now. But it can always be reconstructed. And when the refugees come back, well, they will come under our terms. After all we NEVER invest too much of ourselves unless we see a return on our "investment" TWOFOLD or more.
Anyway, money flows easily from the U.S. And in Iraq, well, we set up shop and take over -- basically run the oil industry....
and then will come the others....slowly but surely...
The United States. We are so predictable.

I've been noticing for weeks now, in a lot of interviews, etc... the Republics are mentioning Abraham Lincoln.

In case some are not aware, the party of Lincoln as it is sometimes called, is nothing like the R party today... not far to the right.

Is there a motivation behind this to shift the party left and more centered?

I have read some people here believe Clinton had nothing to do with the Iraq War and if he was still in office would not have started a war with Iraq. Also some who think Bush started this war all on his own and should be blamed for not finding WMD's. Do you think this is true?

PS-After you post your answer click on the below CNN link.

it seems to me that the american user of this site seem to just bash each other. You categorize each other as liberals or conservatives-and u seem to be equally dogmatic about your beliefs. You offend those of opposing opinions.
Why?
I also get the impression few of you know what is going on around the world.I feel sorry for u guys. You must get highly propagandized information. You need to use the BBC.It is the closest u can get to unbiased news. Also watch repeats of 'Question time' on the internet. You will learn about proper debat and questioning from the public to members of parliament, journalists and political actvists.

Liberals are given their talking points and whenever you debate with them all they do is spout nonsense and lies. Once you've proved them wrong they just start over again with the same stupid talking points and it's just so frustrating. They have no ideas of their own and are just a bunch of Kool-Aid drinkers and I am tired of their constant opposition to American values and security and their favoritism towards the terrorists. They undermine our American way of life and pose a serious threat to our national security. Can't they see that they're wrong? How stupid can one be?

I am very serious here. Does it worry you that the majority (according to the Presidential election) of people seem to be fanatical and uneducated? Do you believe that there is hope? How do you face each day when you are barraged with the likes of Ann Coulter, Rush etc..Do you get discouraged with the ignorance? Are you scared?

Democrats politically supported slavery before the civil war and supported segregation after the civil war. Democrats opposed civil rights legislation until the late 1960's when a small minority joined with Republicans to support the civil rights amendment.

Currently the Democratic party uses the same arguments against the Iraq war that they used against the Civil war, both wars that resulted in the relief of the oppression of people of color.

The first black Senator and Congressperson were elected from the Republican party.

Why?

On the morning of December 7, 1941, Japanese fighter planes bombed the United States fleet anchored at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. The battship, 'Arizona', sank with 1, 102 sailors inside. Today, you can take anavy shuttle to view the sunken hull of the 'Arizona'. At the "remembrance exhibit", you can pay tribute to the first Americans to give their lives to World War II. But how does one get inside this memorial? Is a boat taken to the site, and then passengers step onto the harbor of the exhibit? How?
