Hironymus is wrong as usual.The Republicans were the liberal left during the civil war.The Democrats were the conservatives.And Harpman probably doesn't realize is that Democrats started the war.What the heck do you think the Confederates were?
His implied accusation of Democrats as Pacifists is way off target.
And as for the Democrats being unable to wage war,remember those two world wars,when America actually saved the world?The administration in both were Democratic.
The difference between Republican and Democrats waging war is that Democratic presidents tend to fight when its necessary and just.Republicans tend to fight for profit.They've been doing that since the Spanish-American war.

No real difference.They were against Lincoln, the north and the War..They were Pro Secession, Pro Slavery....Very similar to the Libs of 2007. Good thing the Republicans were in control
