So you think that capturing Bin Laden wouldn't have stopped 9/11? Well what about capturing Sheik Muhammed? Which occured after Bush enacted "The War on Terror". Bush reached out to countries all over the world with known terrorists that live in their countries to turn terrorists over to the United States. Sheik Muhammed was wanted for conspiring against the United States in a 1995 plot to blow up Airlines headed to America and the death of journalist Daniel Pearl who had his head cut off with a bouie knife. He was also revealed to be the "Mastermind" of 9/11. Please tell me, would democrats have enacted a similar war of terror, yeilding the mastermind of 9/11?

You are invited to meet the current U.S. President--not to talk to him--but to shake his hand in a photo-op. Would you go?

I can say with 89.5% certainty that I would not.

This government seems to think up another crazy scheme every day to deprive us of our money, yet nothing seems to get any better. Someone somewhere is profiting from all this. Who is it ?

What's all this talk of giving it to the arabs? Before the idea to make 2 countries out of the land, one for Jews and another for arabs (a deal which only the arabs rejected), those people never had any claims to the land.

We get nothing but trouble from it. No benifits and why should the Arabs have their land taken away to give to the Jews? If anyone deserved to have it taken its the Germans.

This question is posted for people who have either visited the city pre-Katrina or not. The goal is to get creative suggestions as to what industries are lacking, need development, or would prompt growth in the city. Unfortunately, the greatest strength of my former home is also its weakness...complacency.
There is a lack of new ideas or fresh insight in the current process, so I am curious to hear from the world community as to what an "ideal" city (in the framework of New Orleans' heritage) might offer. What would be three industries you would place in New Orleans during it's rebuilding?

He hasn't even served a full term in the Senate and the media hypes him like he's the second coming of JFK. If it comes to being him or Hilliary in the democratic primaries, I'm voting for him, but I feel uneasy voting for a guy who's come from nowhere and seemingly overnight is regarded so highly without having done anything.

Why are there U.S. military bases in foreign countries?

How neccessary is this and what kind of impact would it have on the U.S. Military if these bases no longer existed?

Additionally how many other countries have bases all over like this?

Bush has plenary powers to deny fundamental rights to suspected terrorists by his defination. Taken as a whole, this ileagel occupation of Iraq, abuse of prisoners of war, domestic spying and the suspension of habeas corpus as well as military tribunals establishes a pattern of abuses that are a danger to the rule of law.
Given the Bush appetite for power at the expense of constitutional balance, our democracy is in danger.
I am grateful to the voters who expressed their lack of support for Mr. Bush and his war of choice.

Santa Fe, NM – President George W. Bush’s budget proposal sent to Congress yesterday calls for a four percent cut to the State Children’s Health Insurance Program (SCHIP), a limit of SCHIP funding to children under 200% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL), an 18% cut to the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP), a cut in Medicare payments to hospitals and providers, and an increase of insurance premiums for Medicare recipients.

“The Bush budget proposal threatens thousands of New Mexico’s most vulnerable citizens,” said Governor Richardson. “While New Mexico is fighting to increase access to health care, Washington is cutting funding for those who need it the most.”

New Mexico currently has nearly 9,000 children who are receiving health care through the SCHIP program. Under the President’s proposal nearly 5,500 of these children would not be covered under SCHIP because they are in households with an income above 200% yet below 235% of FPL.

What do you think? I think so. They would be matched as soul mates since they have so much common ground. Here is just a brief list where Liberals and terrorists agree:
Both hate Bush- see as evil
Both want US out of Iraq
Both see GOP as the enemy
Both see Christianity as a threat
Both think the USA needs to stand down its military
Both want a Dem victory
Both hate Israel (code name- Zionism)
Both support Hezbollah
Both hate Patriot Act
Both against the Warrantless Wiretaps
Both believe US is an imperial power doing evil in world
Both want Gitmo to close
Both see Abu Gharb as a holocaust- while the Jewish one never happened.

And the list could go on. Soulmates.
