You are invited to meet the current U.S. President--not to talk to him--but to shake his hand in a photo-op. Would you go?

I can say with 89.5% certainty that I would not.

I would be honored! But I have to say, 89.15% certain is pretty uncertain. In fact it leaves a probability of 11.85%, that you would shake his hand in a photo op. If you had said 100%, that would be certain. You would tremble in awe and probably wet your pants and would not be able to talk to him or anyone else because you'd be in a state of shock & awe.

I know this because every time there is a photo op, Democrats like Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, or Sheila Jackson Lee, ET AL, who slander, disrespect, and take regular swipes at the President on a regular basis, knock each other over rushing before cameras to get their picture taken with the President. Why would you be any different?

I'm from Texas and have lived there most of my life. I am conservative on most issues. I would never consider meeting Bush or shaking his hand. The only president of my lifetime I would consider meeting is Carter. As far as I know, he didn't break any of our laws while he was in office. He is the only president since Johnson that hasn't broken our laws.

I had a dog, when I would take him out so he can run. When it was time to go I would call out his name and let out a low whistle. I never saw that dog do a proper turnaround to come back. That dog always seemed to push his head straight back through his rearend even at a full run. Now why would I want to shake hands with a President who is not that good?

If you were the democratic party candidate for the White House in 2008, it would be a bad idea.

Shaking hands with a President is an honor. It is the position of the President that you should consider and not the person.

Only if I were the Warden at a Federal penitentary, It would be a pleasure!! I'd have the just the cellmate for him to shake hands with too!! Be assured that his hands will be handcuffed to ankles at that point.

Of course, I would be honored to shake his hand. Just because you disagree with his policies doesn't give you the right to be rude!!!!

No I would not. I think that being in his presence would physically make me sick.

He has done so many thing wrong to the American middle and lower class that I couldn't occupy the same space as him.

In addition, I would wind up saying something honest to him and getting put in jail.

Yes, I would. He's the President, and many other (greater) men have held the same position.

However, once he walked pass me, I'd probably have on of those Dick Cheney scowls on my face...

I have respect for the office; I just think the man holding it isn't great at his job.
