On the morning of December 7, 1941, Japanese fighter planes bombed the United States fleet anchored at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. The battship, 'Arizona', sank with 1, 102 sailors inside. Today, you can take anavy shuttle to view the sunken hull of the 'Arizona'. At the "remembrance exhibit", you can pay tribute to the first Americans to give their lives to World War II. But how does one get inside this memorial? Is a boat taken to the site, and then passengers step onto the harbor of the exhibit? How?

Like the others said, you take a boat over then step onto the memorial which is anchored above the USS Arizona. The ship cannot be accessed by anyone except U.S. Department of Defense Divers.

there is a white platform above the wreck of the Arizona. This is where the shuttle drops you off. You see the top of the ship. You have to stand in line for a long time. Get there early. Best before 9:00 AM. If that when it opens. Sometimes people who get there after 12:00 have been turned away. But first you meet and shake hands with a person who was in Pearl when the attack takes place. Take a picture with the anchor. everybody does. Then you get a number and the number is the number line you have to be in. And then there is a movie to watch. Mostly footage of the bombing. Its quick. then you get on the shuttle. You only get 15 minutes so when you get to the Arizona take your pictures fast. It goes by fast. I used to live in Aiea Hawaii, and went there twice.

II just came back from Hawaii and visited "Pearl Harbor"! We took a cruise of the Islands and we took that excursion. You can also buy tickets at Pearl Harbor or on line. They have you view a live film of the actual attack a after the movie they take you by way of boat to the memorial There is a small deck to get off the boat and on to the memorial! Hope this! helps

It is both a National Cemetary and Memorial. There are over 1,000 sailors and marines entombed inside her rusting hulk. You could hear them pounding for 16 days before silence reigned. It is the only US ship allowed to fly the American flag without being in service. The memorial is on Kamehameha Highway and easily accessable by bus from Waikiki and the Airport. It is approx. two miles north of Honolulu Airport and sits next to the USS Missouri and SSBN Bowfin memorials. You stand in line and wait for a small ferry to take you to the USS Arizona memorial; you can easily see the ship under water. It was berthed at Ford Island in 'Battleship Row' on that fateful day.

You take a small touring boat out to the memorial and then you can walk right out on it and stand over the Arizona. You can not go into the ship which is under water. That off limits.

There is a memorial above the ship which is open to the public. If you mean the ship itself, I don't think it is physically possible to get inside.
