The excerpt above seems to be taken from a lecture that Satloff, executive director of The Washington Institute for Near East Policy, gave regarding his new book, Among the Righteous: Lost Stories from the Holocaust's Long Reach into Arab Lands.

Currently, any semblance of stability in Iraq is depending on the presence of U.S. troops to keep order. Seeing that, the U.S. needs to keep involved until the entire situation is resolved. In essence, to leave now would be to crap and not wipe. Sure we can walk away, but we would walk with a squishy crack. That squishy crack would be an escalation is sectarian violence, and Iran noticing that Iraq was vulnerable; most likely they would invade. More than likely other countries would get involved, possibly even Israel. That's where the **** would hit the fan. Somewhere along the line, someone would end up using a nuke and the violence would continue to spread. Remnant Al Queda forces and surviving supporters of Sadaam Hussein would be in the perfect element to spread their hatred. More attacks on the U.S. and other countries would occur, and there would be nothing we could to to stop it. The Middle east would be in flames, followed by Europe and then Asia. Who's to say we won't be next?

Remember how they whined and whined when Clinton was in office? Remember how they impeached him for lying; but have not even hinted at impeachment for bushie who has killed innocent iraq's, has stolen elections; and has sabotaged the Clean Air Act? What are we to make of this?

1. We had to have natural global warming thousands of years ago (long before cars and CO2) to get out of the many ice ages we had.

2. Weathermen cannot predict accurate weather more than 14 days out and usually cannot get it right within those 14 days. How then can any predictions be even considered for years in advance?

3. We have a few hundred years of recorded temperature data when the planet has existed for hundreds of million of years. The sample is too small to statistically conclude anything. The margin of error would be too big.

4. How is it that when the tsunami hit in Indonesia that a city was found underwater that they did not know existed? What caused the water levels to rise so high? This had to happen long before man had cars.

they could spend the same amount of energy propping up those blacks who have become successful and teach what they did to become successful?

All I ever hear is everyone is against black people. Why are the leaders not wanting to teach those who want to be successful how the ones that made it did it. Instead, all they do is complain and use the race card.

They say corporations rule the US, free trade is bad, their jobs have been outsourced, etc. I think they are being wussies and cry babies because they have some of the best things in the world like walmart, mcdonalds, and free schools. So do you think they need to shut up?!

You don't have to run any of this by a government - you're in total charge. So what taxes would you reduce (or hopefully kick out of the door), what policies would you make, what would you do about the war in Iraq, about crime and punishment, about terrorism and religious extremists?
Come on, YOU'RE IN CHARGE!!! So tell us what you'd do!

It is like the neo-cons so flatly deny that Bush lied to get us into the war in Iraq, and the anti-war libs do not look at the fact that it was the Intel collected during the Clinton years, that got us into this war. And how come, the neo-cons flatly denied that Iraq was a threat during the Clinton administration, yet they were ready to get on their knees and pray that we would get into war with Iraq when Bush wanted to go to war?

It isn't discrimination : it's because of a fear of reverse discrimination. E.g., people elect a president to serve all states & peoples of the USA, hopefully fairly. Many whites likely see the way there is so much racially-charged & motivated speech by non-whites on radio, TV, etc. and feel like that minority politician will give extra special care to his/her own group, exclusively. The well-being of this nation requires evenhandedness. Serving only your own goes back long before the mid-1800's or black & white issues, so we all know this doesn't work : it divides and creates hatred & distrust. I've sometimes listened to the radio & come across black gospel programs where the speaker was keyed up & telling how the black people need to do such & such, stick together & get for themselves. That isn't christianity. That's racism. Be for everyone, earnestly & fairly , and you'll likely start to see a difference.

if someone is from egypt, are they african american? or how about a white guy from south africa?

and why it seems only white people in america only refer themselves as americans, and it seems most everyone else adds something to it, like "native" american, Hispanic, "asian" american, etc....

and if the term african american refers to skin color, than what about black indians from india? many of them are a lot darker than blacks in america, or how about aboriginies? they are from australia.

Go to CSAgov.org and research the alternative. Americans are brainwashed by the Hollywood media that portrays The Confederacy as racist, when in fact it stands for all the things that the majority of Americans hold dear, and has members of every color and race. Check it out for yourself, It's real, It's never left, and it's growing by the day. Our own country sells us out daily (Dog the Bounty Hunter, The two Border Patrol Agents), well you get the point. There are thousands of reasons that your current government should be replaced by a government for the people instead against the people. Do your research and be enlightened.
