Why are we in Iraq? We were supposed to find weapons of mass destruction but we never did. Bush owns stock in oil company's and in companies that build tanks and missles. Is he just stirring stuff up to make some money? Because supposedly his cabinet own stock in the same companies and some more.

First of all. No weapons were found, and I am not giving misleading information. I am asking a question.

gonna add some more...people are getting confused....I am not asking should we stay or leave. I am not saying I am not for/against the war...I am asking WHY? Iraq broke the armestice back in the early 90's and his father took care of it...There were no WMD...so how did he break an armistasce(spelling). For terrorists? Osama bin Laden was in afghanistan. Not Iraq. Seriously. WHY?

Iraq was a mistake, but some good did come of it... which is basically removing the evil Saddam Hussein. There was misinformation about WMD. It was a mistake. Most Iraqi's want the Coalition out of Iraq, and most even support attacks on Coalition soldiers.

America is in Iraq because of acting on information that wasn't true. It is a mistake and it is time to admit it was a mistake and it is time to leave.

Because Dubya believed he could complete what his father (who knew much better, although he won't admit it now) did not do in the Gulf War of the 1990's, by overthrowing Saddam, Then he would set up a puppet right wing government so that his oil buddies could make a bundle. He's did not realize that (1) Saddam was not a military threat to the US; (2) nobody in Iraq wants us there; and (3) Iran is the real danger. Meanwhile, Osama escaped.

we were in there to get the terrorists and the weapons of mass destruction, and now it is just a side show for him, and valuable people are getting hurt by it. I do not know why we have not destroyed the terrorists and/or found the weapons of mass destruction yet! Time is ticking and lives are at stake. If he can not do the job than he should quit! If he is making so much money out of this war, than why is he not using it to help our troops? We have solders that lost limbs fighting for our country who are being treated very poorly and it is just not right.

For the umteenth billion time, the insurgents are still murdering people there. They still don't have a democracy. We did find WMDs you have only taken your pig faced liberal media's word for it and they lie all the time. Even your gay president Clinton said the WMDs were there. The did find some but the UN took a very long time (6 months) to OK the invasion Saddam had plenty of time to bury them. Bush doesn't own oil stock, he sold it all off before he ran for president.

Listen kid, if you really want to know the truth, join the military. You'll learn a lot more by being there.

Because Saddam broke the conditions of the Armistice from the First Gulf War. He also bribed leading members of France, Germany, Russia and the UN to let him break UN sanctions so he could continue his WMD programs (which were real.)

I realize that unreported stockpiles of Sarin and Mustard gas no longer count as WMDs. And they're not necessarily a reason to go to war. A ruthless dictator who has been beaten and refuses to comply with the articles of surrender is dangerous, and it has been proven many times in the last century.

Qaddafi, incidentally, was in shooting range of Europe. With WMDs. Who wouldda thunk it?

So let me see if I have this straight...........Bush skated through college, weaseled his way to become governor of Texas, stole the 2000 election, allowed the 911 attacks to take place & possibly even had something to do with them, invaded Iraq, stole the 2004 election, sent more troops and spent more money on Iraq AND ALL TO MAKE A PROFIT ON HIS STOCKS? No offense, but there are way easier ways of making money in this country!

Take your pick:

1. To fight terrorists.
2. To find and destroy WMD's.
3. To depose Saddam Hussein.
4. To establish Democracy in Iraq, let Iraqis choose their government.
5. To establish peace in the Middle East.

Some of WMD found - where have you been! We destroyed Saddam government - we must build back another - it is our responsibility! We cannot leave the Iraqis to the hands of the terrorists. That is why we must stay. Until Iraq is mature, we have to protect them from those who want to devour them!
