Great question. Personally, I vote so I can make changes to what I don't like. I love this country. It in inconceivable to me how you could hate your country and yet stay anyway. I think what people really mean is that they hate the administration. That doesn't solve anything either though. Educate yourselves on the candidates. Weed out what is just propaganda. Don't believe anything you hear that cannot be backed up with facts. Then, VOTE!!!! If you don't vote, you need to be quiet.

Let's get one thing straight. I don't really think anybody hates America. They may dislike the way the government is run, and it's present leader, but that is NOT the same as hating America. We love America, & the freedom of expressing our feelings and thoughts is very much a part of it. That being said, there is always room for change with the hope that we, together with our elected officials, can and will be able to contribute to that change for the better. Don't EVER assume that because a person expresses their opinion about their dissatisfaction of the way their government is run, that they hate their country. On the contrary, that is really an expression of their patriotism. If you can't respect & accept that, then you are the one who is un-american!

I wish I could believe that we are only hearing people who don't like the way some things are being run etc. No, there is something else going on in this nation. There is a concerted attack on everything American: The family, religion, patriotism, the attempt to resurrect the "fairness doctrine", drug use, "gangsta" glorification, normalizing homosexuality, abortion, race-bating, class envy, out of control lawsuits, environmental terrorists, animal rights terrorists, rampant hedonism in colleges, sexually explicit acts and language on TV, hideously ugly crap presented as art, uncontrolled borders, pedophile predators, gang violence, propaganda palmed off as "documentaries", women depicted as smart and powerful while men are depicted as dumb and weak in everything from cartoons, to comercials, to motion pictures, children being sexualized, Judges rewriting the constitution, it is sad.
There are a lot of people who do hate America and American traditions. I don't know if they can be reached. I don't know if they can have their eyes opened in time. I do know that those of us who know the truth must do our best to persuade as many Americans to embrace that which has made this country great as we possibly can.

That is the fundamental problem. Yes ... liberals hate America. but if they went to any other country in the world that they are trying to make America like, they would not be able to get away with 10% of the stuff they say and do. Not to mention those country's don't want them either.

Maybe they want to stay and make changes. There is a difference between hating America and hating some of the things the government is doing. But unfortunately certain politicians are spreading the myth that anybody who opposes them hate America. Disgusting tactics.

Dude, it is really a good thing folks like you weren't around during the 1770's. We'd still be ruled by the King of England. You would have made a really good Tory.

Unfortunately, regardless of each of our opinions - we are protected to do such, by the constitutional rights given to all. I truly enjoy everyones opinion because it confirms that the right to free speech and expression is still vital and alive.

Sorry, you cannot silence dissent in this country by accusing others of being unAmerican or not loving their country because they see something wrong with Her and work to change it. It just doesn't fly, nice try though.
"In those wretched countries where a man cannot call his tongue his own, he can scarce call anything his own... Who ever would overthrow the liberty of a nation must begin by subduing the freeness of speech." --Benjamin Franklin

It is easier to change the government living here, than if I was living in North Korea. Not to mention that Korean is a very difficult language to learn, here I can phone bank, walk precincts, register people to vote Democratic, and go on road trips. I went on fourteen road trips during the last election.
Unlike the lazy Americans that put family first on the agenda, a typical Stalinist as myself, put the interests of the Democratic Party first, and family is on the bottom of the list. This gives me a distinct advantage over the rest of you. I'm more dedicated to my cause, then you are to yours. For example, I did not attend the wedding of my niece, because John Kerry needed me in Kingman, Arizona. Sure she cried and her feelings were hurt and she was devasted, but who cares about one individual? We are out to save the world from U.S.imperialism and the country from Fascism. That is the same reason that I did not go to visit my dying father in the hospital, because he chose to get sick in the middle of a political campaign. My first duty and obligation is to my political party and people that put family first over their party were executed by Joseph Stalin. Stalin would be prould of me.
