What George Bush knows, that's a short story. The only thing he knew was that Louisiana was full of Democrats, he took much better care of Mississippi and they're Republican governor. Shouldn't he have to do some kind of community service for his lack of humanity.

Alright, I am going to explain this once again in simple terms so even you can understand it.

1) FEMA is not a first responder.
2) The Federal government cannot send support into a state until/unless the Governor of that State requests it.
3) You cannot position FEMA personel and material in harms way to be destroyed by the hurricane. As a result, it will take quite a while for it to arrive after the storm due to flooding, downed power lines etc.
4) The first line of defense is the City Government who must do everyting in its power to evacuate people (didn't happen)
5) The second line of defense is the State Government (same problem as FEMA had getting there.
6) Anyone in any disaster area should evacuate if possible or expect to be self-sufficient for at least 3 to 5 days before outside help can get through.
7) More money and resorces were sent to New Orleans than any place else.
8) Don't bash the Republican Governor of Mississippi for doing a great job. Criticize the Democrat Governor of Louisiana for still not getting much done.
