It would be interesting to see a study done on those who left and how they are fairing now. The majority of those affected lived in some of the worst poverty in the country. Katrina did New Orleans a real service by flushing the toilet.

Some here in Las Vegas collected more than $20,000 from the goverment and they weren't even in New orleans when it happened.

yes...they lived in one of the worst areas in the country...anything is better then the lower 9th ward
