If you think it's not good, do you have any solutions YOU, not someone else, can implement? Why or why not?

Thank you

I am an Iranian living outside Iran (becasue I don't like the leadership policy) but I don't quite understand why would the Americans give a damn about who rules Iran. It's very far from the US and it's too weak to do much of anything to the US. Why do Americans bother to memorise this idiot Ahmadinejad's name anyway? Please clear this up :)

Gates said today in an interview in front of Congress that we are neither winning nor losing the war in Iraq.
Bush vehemently said today in a press conference that we are winning in Iraq.
Which one is the realist and which one is the liar?

Okay, in this THEORETICAL case, Timothy Allen is the president of the Racial Nationalist Party of America at the University of Massachusetts. UMASS has a "speech code" policy that limits the meetings and distribution of printed materials of anti-Semitic, anti-gay, and white supremecy groups to "free speech zones" on campus. UMASS RNPA planned to post an issue of the "White Voice", their newsletter. This issue contained inflammatory statements about the Jewish religion, made allegatiosn of a connection to the 9-11 attacks, and included a digitally produced image of Jewish student Jason Weinberger in Palestinian garb. On a tip from a student clerk at Kinko's, the university leared of the plans and when they found a stack of the newsletters in the lounge of Allen's dorm (which was outside of the free speech zone), they expelled Allen.

For my simulation case, I need to argue why the free speech policy is a violation of Allen's First Amendment rights. So far, the reasons that I have are:

Of course I rightly believe it is not because the Confederacy was not founded on the principles of economic freedom and states rights, though some racist bigots use it as there symbol, dont generalize because of this.

After the war, Iraq was heavily indebted to several Arab countries, including a $14 billion debt to Kuwait. Iraq hoped to repay its debts by raising the price of petroleum through OPEC oil production cuts, but instead, Kuwait increased production, lowering prices, in an attempt to leverage a better resolution of their border dispute.

can somebody explain the border part please? I don't fully understand the logic of it

Another postage question....Are there any rules for what can be mailed for .39 cent postage in a regular envelope. The average piece of mail probably weighs less than an ounce. I have a standard sized envelope that weighs a little more than 3 ounces...is that okay? Or do I need to pay more for the postage?

I AM!!!! Get those republicans a tissue! Like it or not it's legal, and what are you going to do about it? You all take care of those babies in the middle east and we'll take care of them here... NO DIFFERANCE! No matter how much you'd like to think there is.

Soften the blow. It's justified killing of children in the Middle East, and America is sorry. White phosphorous feels great on nerve endings.

He says that we are neither winning, nor losing the war in Iraq. REALIST! I love his pragmatism.

I love his pragmatism too when he says it is time to try talking to Iran and Syria.

I saw the clip where he got all choked up while saying how proud he is of Jeb serving with honor. I guess his honor and integrity were not so apparent to those of us not from Florida. Is this just a proud dad, or is there a real reason Jeb should be so revered?

I'm freaking confused on what is happening with immigration reform in congress. So far I think this is what is going on...the senate wants to pass a bill allowing for a guest worker program and amnesty for the 12 million illegal immigrants already in the country. The house is more hardline, i believe, and wants the border secured first. So is this correct? Also, what is the difference between the Dems and GOP stances on the issue?

Our country started with its people taking land from Native Americans as well as trying to wipe them out and fought each other in a civil war. We also had slavery and denied women the right to vote, all occured after our constitutuion was ratified.

But all these things changed within our own democratic system. It took time and there are still repercussions but does that mean true democracy may take many years? Is it fact, as Abraham Lincoln said, that democracy is a government of the people, for the people and by the people and that is what makes building a democracy a slow process?
