This is like a fairy tale.British picks up one Army Sgt.Major [SHAH"S FATHER]and pronounce him the right full man to be the Shah of Iran[2500 Years old Dynasty] In 1953 CIA reinstate his son as the Shah ,with the Oil boom his wealth and power grows and now he wants to be a little Independent of USA.United states smells trouble and collaborates with their man A.Khomeini and his adjutant Bani Sadr and Gotsahibzade and Through out shah like a dead mice.Now the priest turn himself against the USA on the first available opportunity ,Gotsahibzade is Executed and Bani Sadr is back in France.The Hard liner Mullahs have been in power ever since United states installed them and now feel very sorry.End of the story

He was a paranoid little dictator who the US put into power in 1953. We turned our backs while he abused his own people then we acted surprised when they threw him out.
Whatever people think of the existing leadership in Iran, that country and it's people have legitimate grievances against the United States.

I don't think he was such a great guy, either. That's why they got rid of him. Like the guy before Castro in Cuba wasn't so hot. Eventually, people are going to get angry enough and get rid of them--and they did.

I think he should have gotten his cancer treatment somewhere besides the U.S.
