Of course I rightly believe it is not because the Confederacy was not founded on the principles of economic freedom and states rights, though some racist bigots use it as there symbol, dont generalize because of this.

No it is not a racist symbol. It is history thats imbedded in southern heritage. But I do agree with you, some haters have taken the flag image and use it in their messages.

It is peace of are history if we go back we will see of the 86 percent of the south that could aford slaves only 23 persent did that would be around 15 persent out of 100 or less and they had black solders fighting on there side two. And many stayed on after there year of service was up and they wer free men so race had nothing to do with the equation on why the cival war.happend.The cause was the massive economic difrences between North and Sout and the contract that are four fathers sighened the 80 year truth were the south could govern themselves other wise the sothern colonies would not of fought in the revolutionary war and as par of it the could keep slavory the north violated the treaty and that one reason it happen. Its was also provoke my the Democrat presidents Buchanan, James
and Pierce, Franklin who could of stoped the war at any time of there presidancey and chose not to do so wqe all had to suffer because of thease reasons wich some are still valid today and there bad leader ship is exactley why we should keep are eleted a fishals in check and have the ocational armed revolution when need be and both thos men wor active Democrats.

While the cause for the Civil War was not directly the issue of Slavery it none the less was the bottom line issue that the nation refused to come to grips with. There to failing to come to grips with it is precisely what made the war so bitter and insolated the institution of Racism to this very day! As such anything that reflects that refusal to see things for what they are accomidates Racism, even to the point of you question!

When it's bandied about here in Minnesota? Yes.

If I lived in the South, I would have no trouble accepting it as a part of the history of that region. But here in Minnesota (about as far north as you can get before you hit Canada!) it serves no other purpose BUT to incite and enflame.

Personally, I don't but many, many people do, and I respect their feelings. If Nathan Bedford Forrest hadn't used it, that probably wouldn't have happened
