They are so opposed to the plan that FDR built for them, perhaps they should stop feeding at the troth they hate so much, show a little civil disobedience and send them checks back to Uncle Sam. How many can I count on?

"In the past our politicians offered us dreams of a better world. Now they promise to protect us from nightmares.

The most frightening of these is the threat of an international terror network. But just as the dreams were not true, neither are these nightmares."

How many attacks will be required? How large must these attacks be? How many people must die? The evidence is spread out before us. We have an enemy who hates us. Their hate is rooted in a religious ideology which cannot be reasoned with and cannot be rationalized. Has America done things to incite some of this hate? Absolutely! However, the root cause goes much deeper than this. America's actions do not explain the total history or terrorism, nor do they explain attacks against other countries (most notably Spain) who have tried unsuccessfully to appease the terrorists. At what point will people stop blaming their own country and wake up to the realistic danger which faces us? I can understand not liking the war or the administration, but these problems and the evidence of their existence well predate both. I also understand not giving in to fear, but isn't denial worse than fear in the long run?

It is the lettuce we eat. No it is the onions. And now Olive Garden has had an incident of food illness. Over 300 people are sick with something or another. Could it be that the terrorists are getting into our food supplies with germs and such? After all, our food supply is wide open to anyone who wishes to contaminate any of the products.

You lost to a bunch of "monkeys". Iraq barely had an army and yet the U.S lost.

Oh please, don't try to use Syria and Iran as a scapegoat for losing. You claim that they send in troops to help Iraq but we all know that isn't true.

U.S has to be the most over rated country in the world.

Recently, in Florida, at a Republican event to honor George H. W. Bush’s son Jeb, who is just finishing up 2 terms as governor, H. W. wept & sobbed when he got to the part in his speech about Jeb losing his bid to become governor of FL in 1994. Jeb lost to Lawton Chiles by 51 to 49%. Had Jeb won in 94 & then gone on to win re-election in 98, he would have been in position to run for president in 2000.

Instead, George W., who ran for gov. of Texas in 94 & won, & then won re-election, was in position to run for president – he ran & won, & then he won re-election. Was H. W. so grief-stricken because W. - who has arguably had a bumpier life than the more cautious & well-spoken Jeb - has arguably made a shambles out of his presidency? Was H. W. reduced to a “basket case” because W.’s policies have now destroyed the Republican Party? Was he sobbing because Jeb will not have a chance to become president? Just why did this experienced public speaker almost have to be carried off the stage?

Is this possible? Is any law enforcement agency 100% effective? We only stop 10% of the drugs coming into the country, and drug smugglers are waaaay smarter, well organized, well equipped, and financed than the terrorists.

How will the 2nd ammendment be bypassed?
Did the founders only mean for those in the army to have guns or did they want all citizens to be armed?
Were these guns meant to be used for self protection against criminal, against foreign invasion and to keep the government from going to far? Or was it meant just for hunting? If we loose are guns who will protect our homes from criminal, foreign governments and our own government?

Should the federal government direct the Pentagon to create the framework for the privitization of military operations in Iraq?

Specifically, the Pentagon would compose a broad scope of work -- identifying where troops are needed as well as equipment and support requirements.

The contract would then go out to bid and corporations would bid for the contract -- or pieces of the contract.

U.S. troops would then rotate out as privately employed mercanaries would move in. The corporation that holds the contract would be required to report progress and intelligence to the Pentagon.

This is a unique conflict that requires unique ideas.

(Side note: If the private army ever needed assistance (such as air support, it would be provided to them ... for a price, of course).

A tragic figure of enormous proportions? Perhaps ( turning my brain off and giving him the benefit of the doubt) he did mean well in Iraq. But look at the results/reality. Both for him historically, his minions (our military) and his kingdom (the USA).

How will this story end?

Un-happy ever after?
