I think he lives in his own fantasy world. I don't think he is smart enought to see through the garbage his aides are feeding him. He is really nothing more than a figure head president. His VP, cabinet, and aids are the ones driving his policy.

Reality Challenged. It's necessary for every person to live with reality in order to make truthful; informative decisions. If a person has a problem with dealing with reality, they fall into a web of lies. They live in a fantasy world, made up along each step of the way.

He's just challenged period. Our President is in way over his head. His presidency is following right along the same lines of his business ventures, failure, failure, failure. Unfortunately for us his failings as President affects ninety-five percent of America in a negative way. His failings as a business person only affected his investors, but I'm sure they have been paid back handsomely since his becoming President.

I think W's problem is that he doesn't take the time to digest the depth and breadth of situations before fomenting the company line. He is extremely shallow and relies on goofy humor and inane comments to cover his lack of understanding . Since much of what comes out of his mouth is verbatim briefings from junior grade neo-cons, we don't get a picture of his real convictions, and thoughts. I think that he thinks that "the Prez" is just a figurehead.
Therefore, he lives in a fantasy world of his own making: A postion of power and influence that he doesn't truly understand.

This is really a pertinent question. It's something I've often wondered myself. I believe it's a combination of the two. That's not exactly comforting though is it?

I used to think it was reality based mistakes, but since he refuses to recognize any mistakes, then I must conclude he is a liar.
