And the greedy Aussies are the second biggest contributors to global warming on planet Earth. Make sure you don't store the ashes trophy near any forests.

The Ashes Trophy always resides in England, at the home of World Cricket - Lord's. It lurks in Australia at the moment because they have a faint chance of winning it back from England - win or lose, that trophy will go back to Lord's.

As regards Australia's general policy re immigration. fisheries protection etc, I like their policies. The enforcement of their policies may be a bit more difficult, with only 71 obsolescent tanks and 50.000 servicemen distributed in their three services. Their navy, given the extent of their coastline, is a joke. Excellent ships, excellent seamen, but not enough of either. A bit like the UK, actually.

Gloating!? I think the English have a closed shop on that one. In Australia it is taken for granted that they will always win the Ashes as they are a significantly better sporting nation....oh, and I'm not aussie either

Stop whining about the Aussie's beating us, we are crap and thats that, the one thing that sticks in my mind over the sporting events with Australia is that they were gracious in defeat both in the rugby world cup and when they lost the Ashes to us, why can't you be the same, at least we are used to losing!!!
