I think this dose of freedom is potent enough for a few generations. If an Islamic Theocracy is established in Iraq, we might look back at Saddam Hussein with nostalgia.

We will only re-invade if they give us a reason to. The chances of an all out Iraqi Theocracy are slim and none. Now if the country splits up into 3 seperate countries then there is a chance the the Shia' in the south will become a theocracy like Iran. But Iran will be delt with in due time anyway.

Would you have been more pleased with my answer if I threw some Bush bashing in there?, you ignorant narrow mined Islamic Extremist.

No, unless they begin attacking neighboring countries (like Saudi Arabia and Kuwait) again. Saddam's regime has been removed, the international threat with it. Hopefully. They have a clean slate upon which to write the glorious or infamous future history of their nation.

Now that Saddam is no longer running the show, they have the freedom to choose their course. Let's hope they choose wisely.

They will form a government that we will not be happy with. And a few years later they will realize they need to be part of the world economy to survive, and will gradually change to allow foreign investment into their country. They have oil, we will pay for it. No matter who is in charge. We did not go in there to make the country democratic. We went in for the oil. And no, we are not fighting for our freedom by being in Iraq. The bahamas is a greater threat to us.
And that is NO threat at all...

Islam is not the problem. It's the people who actually act out violence. Islam it's self is a very violent religion(even though most islamics aren't violent). But the "true" islamics who are very strict and do everything the koran says are violent. Those are the terrorist.

it appears we don't really know the history of the region, who we're putting in charge and what they want...

the elected leaders seem to be very cozy with Iran... which isn't a good thing...

we like to repeat mistakes... and war in an oil region helps drive up the price of oil... next time I'll invest before the invasion and get in on the ground floor!

Hey, what the hell, right?

We've demonstrated we can beat any army handily. But it is the insurgency we're having trouble with. I say, let them build an islamic state and we'll destroy it as many times as necessary until they get it right.

I don't think we would obviously do so, but probably covertly try to start another revolution (via CIA operants)...you know, the american way.
