Tragic?
He meant well? He meant well?!?
He's tragic, in that, he should NEVER have been "groomed" for the position at all. He has neither the intellect nor emotional development necessary to hold or be close to such power. He is drowning & so are we. Hold on to something, for the remainder of his term and hope or pray; like the U.S. soldiers or levee breach victims of New Orleans or the Iraqi civilians or...

George is brain dead. The results of his poor decision making at home and in Iraq is what is really tragic. How to 'right the ship' will be an enormous task and will take years . George will go down in history as the worst president ever. Whoever becomes the next president will have to be very special with talent and ability to heal the nation and rebuild US at home and abroad. Not to mention paying down the staggering national debt, providing real concrete assistance to Katrina victims.........

The truly enormous tragedy is how far his parents allowed him to go with their money and influence. And now the U.S. as well as most of the world will suffer from it.
Anyone who doesn't dislike Bush, should do some research on his life from late teens to about 30 years old. It's astonishing what a screw-up he was. He ran so many companies down the drain because of his incompetence, but his family kept putting him back on his feet financially and using their connections to open doors for him.
The Iraq deal is a totally personal situation to correct what his father didn't and couldn't accomplish. At the outset, it was covered up by a smokescreen painted like an effort to rid the world of Bin Laden. But now that the smoke has cleared we are so far into the Iraqi situation, that who knows how this story is going to end?
In addition, we have things in place like the Patriot Act and National Security Program, which totally violate our civil (and sometimes legal) rights, but they are sanctioned by the government! Do some research on those too while you're at it and you'll know what I mean. All that was started in the name of freedom and personal security, but they went overboard with the "extra's" that were added in as riders to the whole concept.
One step closer to Big Brother! Thanks, George!!

Some will tell you that a comedy is the same thing as a tragedy but it takes a longer view of things. Certainly Bush is a pitiable fool, but if you take a step back then you'll find something to laugh about, too.
And I don't think he meant well or badly in Iraq. I think he just did what he was told and didn't give it any kind of thought at all.

No. He's just a man who was elected president in an unfortunate time. It seems that Americans forget any good that he's done and only focus on the bad things. Why do we do that?
Now we just have to wait and see what the democrats will do. My guess is they won't be any more successful than the president.

They say the economy is booming, but the numbers do not reflect the loss of jobs and rising medicare and mortgage costs all over America, imposed on the middle class. The wars are a complete foreign policy disaster (no one can deny this).
To answer your question, yes! He is!
