There was a time when poor farmers ran this country and did just fine. The people had a say in what happened. Now we are at the mercy of the rich. Our goverment has changed the basic idea of democracy into a mess. We the people have not a voice. What can the common people do to be heard. Don't say vote. Thats a cop-out.
I am pro america and I love my country. I just wish the power would be returned to the people.

Ok read this:

36 have been accused of spousal abuse
7 have been arrested for fraud
19 have been accused of writing bad checks
117 have directly or indirectly bankrupted at least 2 buisinesses
3 have done time for assult
71 cannot get a credit card due to bad credit
14 have been arrested on drug-related charges
8 have been arrested for shoplifting
21 currently are defendants in lawsuits AND
84 have been arrested for drunk driving in the last year

CAN YOU GUESS WHO THIS IS????

It's the 535 members of the United States Congress.

The same group of idiots that crank out hundreds of new laws each year designed to keep the rest of us in line.

But do they follow them??? And they just voted themselves $15,000 per month pension for life after serving only one year in congress!!

Think about that the next time you vote for the same congress members again.

What is your opinion on this???

I am young and trying to understand the Government, so dont be mad that I dont know this. I know the Basics Democrat vs. Republican, but its the liberals, conservatives, Apathetic terms that get me all mixed up. For awhile i thought that Democrat was the same thing and libral and republican was the same as conservative....Can anyone set me straight? Thank You
