The Census Bureau counts you as unemployed if you don't have a job, have looked for work within the last 4 weeks and are available to work. It doesn't matter if you ran out of unemployment benefits or even if you ever qualified for them. The idea that it "doesn't count people whose benefits have run out" is just a flat out lie.

"Sex offenders are not petty criminals. They prey on our children like animals and will continue to do it unless stopped. We have a moral responsibility to do everything in our power to protect our kids from these animals."
~Foley the Animal, in 2005, given a green light to prey on kids by the GOP

Is Foley a Republican sexual offender animal or criminal?

Do we not honor our flag any more? When I was younger, everybody stood up, held their hand across their heart and looked at the flag as we said it in unison. I was proud of saying it for my counrtry. I'm not looking for criticism here, I just want to know the reasons it was originally taken out and who was behind it.

I think that Bush should be impeached. But, then I think... What about Cheney? He wouldn't be any better. So, what if you got rid of both of them? Isn't the Speaker of the House Republican? We can't have anymore Republicans as president! But we can't have 2 more years of Bush... (it's 2 years, right?) Who comes after the Speaker of the House? Does anyone know? If so, who is it? Is he/she Republican?

Why don't some people realize this fact? How come they are not perceptive?

HOUSTON -- A slick campaign mailer shows a smiling Texas state representative and reminds voters of her achievements in education, economics and politics.

But it FAILS to mention that she is DEAD.

Are the Republicans that desperate to win elections that they have a person who DIED in SEPTEMBER to still run?

Just a question relating to overfishing in the North Sea.
There are more foreign trawlers in the North Sea than what are registered in the UK.

With more countries having already entered the EU and more due the quotas of existing trawlers will be cut even more.

Last word "Verification"! No Change will happen until you take the secretcy out of all the process! If change was legitimately obtainable all incumbants would be voted out next tuesday! Thats what EVERYONE WANTS or the majority as i understand. But instead as always little to no change happens & most incumbants remain insiders! Do you not find shame for the inablility to rid us of this corrupt political process once & for good.

George Bush said in a speech he gave a few days ago, that essentially if we elect Democrats "America loses and the terrorists win." That is like saying that if you don't agree with the current administration, you are not patriotic. I'm confused...I thought I was supposed to be patriotic to the United States of America...to the democratic process...even to the flag (as a symbol of the country). But to say that I'm unpatriotic because I disagree with the current administration's policies is insulting.

Unemployment numbers only count people who report to unemployment offices. Most people don't keep reporting to the unemployment office after their unemployment benefits run out, because there's no point. Therefore, if you're unemployment benefits run out, and you stop going to the unemployment office, you drop off the unemployment rate.

So if everyone who lost a job never got work again, the "unemployment rate" could actually either stay the same or get better. Even if those people are still looking for work.

So it's a meaningless statistic. But for some reason it is still used to say "Hey, look, the economy is great".

This is just out of curiosity. How are each of you voting: Democrat, Republican, Independent?
I'm not interested in who you are voting for, what issues you stand for or your stance on the war or immigration.
Just which party you are voting for.
I'll go first.

Republican
