THE WHOLE U.N. VOTED TO GO INTO IRAQ HOW IS THE WAR ILLEGAL? HOW DID WE VIOLATE INTERNATIONAL LAW. SOME PEOPLE TALK TO HEAR THEIR OWN VOICE. DEMOCRATIC IGNORANCE IS RAMPANT. THE U.N. IS SOFT. THEY DO WHAT THE USA SAYS.

First, by not being run in accordance with the U.S. Constitution. Neither the Korean War, the Vietnam War, or Gulf War II (the one we are in right now) were not declared by Congress in accordance with the Constitution.
Second, by not being run in accordance with the U.N. Charter. You either need to have the Security Council pass a resolution authorizing the use of force (the Korean War and Gulf War I) or get invaded.
None of these three conditions applied.
George Bush, of course, LIED to the U.S. and the world saying Saddam had chemical and biological weapons (he did not), and was working on nukes (he had not since the end of Gulf War 1).
What could be more illegal than lying to go to war?

If one recognizes a certain international organization (like the U.N.) as a governing entity, than a war could be illegal if it goes against the laws of that international entity.
Of course, whether ANY international organizations are (or should be) recognized as governing entities is highly debatable.

The Constitution sets up the "rules" a President must follow in order to declare war. If he does not follow these "rules", the war is illegal. It is a good thing that Bush followed the rules, don't you agree?

under international law (primarily the UN constituion, which the US wrote), war is legal in certain circumstances
(a) self-defence
(b) pre-emptive strikes when a clear and imminent threat exists
(c) when the UN security Council passes a resolution under chapter 7 authorising "all available means" to be used.
