If you are watching in front of you someone that is preaching morals naked would you support him just for the fact that he says he's wearing clothe?

I will name a few reasons:

1. Iraq - his justifications for getting the country into the war are never ending.

2. Iraq - he didn't supply enough soldiers to do the job, so the soldiers who ARE there are sitting ducks. Those who do come home are coming home injured.

3. No follow through - he promised Katrina victims aid, but so far that's all it is - a promise

4. He's not flexible. When things are going wrong, smart leaders know that policy must be changed to suit what is going on. He has refused to do this, particularly with Iraq, and it is having horrible consequences for both our soldiers and the Iraqi citizens.

5. His insistence that he alone can determine policy in the war on terror. Groups have had to go the U.S. Supreme Court to rein in Bush. That should say something. The last time that happened was during the Nixon White House, when the court ruled that Nixon had to turn over the tapes which brought down his presidency.

6. His flagrant over-spending. A so called conservative, he is bankrupting this country and we will be decades getting out of debt.

7. He's arrogant and hubristic. He doesn't know how to deal with the leaders of other countries and thinks he knows the full answer.

Have you supported all our Presidents?
Here are a couple reasons I question him.
1. He never saw a spending bill he doesn't like.
2. He hired a sleazeball like Karl Rove.
3. He drove out the most decent man on his staff - Collin Powell. He forced him to lie.
4. He should take responsibility for the horrendous miscalculations and mismanagement of the war in Iraq.
5. He constantly tried to connect 9/11 with Iraq.
6. He poorly managed the Katrina response only to say his buddy he put in charge of FEMA' was doing a great job. The guy was totally under qualified for the job and only got it as a favor.
7. He is a joke to the rest of the world. He has a bizarre world view.
8. When the chips are down he stoops to incredible lows politically.

Because he is not the Assistant Principal at the local junior high school. He's the President of the United States. Other people's incompetence gets them fired. This guys incompetence gets other people *killed* ... LOTS of people killed. The disastrous way he and his administration has waged this war in Iraq has turned Iraq into a huge camp for (a) recruiting, and (b) training new terrorists. Americans will be dying due to increased terrorism in the next 20 years, long after this guy is gone.

He has also saddled the next generation with a huge national debt. He lowers taxes today (for the rich), which effectively *raises* taxes for all you kids out there who will be hitting your peak earning years in about 10 years ... all so today's generation can get a check for $100.

I don't consider myself qualified to be President ... but I *swear* I could not screw up this country as badly as this guy has if I spent all my effort trying.

If you'll allow me to rephrase your question to "why does it seem everyone hates our president", I can give you some thought. Since I don't agree that the hatred is even from a majority, let alone universal, I can't answer as posed.

The reason it seems that way is because of a few factors. One is the media. For some reason, they are so heavily connected with the DNC that they have long since abandoned objectivity. They tend to print one side, regardless of any basis in fact. Witness the recent Foley situation, and the coverage at the time of the Waco massacre, and the Lewinsky matters.

Another is that the DNC can't run on issues grounded in fact. The Democratic candidates are all running on the unproven assumption that Iraq is a quagmire, despite evidence on the ground (which goes unreported in the media) to the contrary. They can't run on issues, so every Democrat (at least in the races I hear about) are running against Bush. They have to paint him as the antichrist for this to work.

Not everyone believes he's evil. Some people believe their eyes and think for themselves.

I think many people think that being president is an easy job. What they don't understand is that it is a bit tougher than cutting cookies. He has to make huge decisions with lives , our lives, in the balance every day. He can't just do what is popular because if he does then in five, ten, or 100 years we may pay dearly for it. We as a society have the luxury of free speech and the ability to play monday morning quarterback. The president has to make the call and sometimes take the hit for it. I give him a lot of credit for sticking to his decisions and owning up to the reppercussions. Unfortunately we don't have many leaders like him in either party.

first, EVERYONE doesn't hate bush...MOST of the country is sick of his utter incompetence...by 'support' do you mean fawning acceptance of every goofy scheme he tries, or blind obedience to his every dictatorial whim, or turning a blind eye to the fact that he is...well...i guess the polite term would be 'intellectually challenged'? sorry, this is america...he's not a ruler, he's a public servant...we the people deserve better for our tax dollars, not to mention the blood shed under his watch...second, could you get someone to do a 'grammar check' before you post another question? that was a bit of a challenge translating that question into english

I cannot imagine supporting a president that sends, not experts, but barely educated and inexperienced children of well known republicans to manage US rebuilding of Iraq. He is a very bad leader who needs to be punished for his bad decisions.

I don't even know him, therefore I cannot hate him. He is the President and anyone who holds that seat deserves respect.
