Well you are not alone in feeling a revolution needs to happen. Many countries all over the world, including Canada which is where I am from keep hearing these politicians issuing statements such as "when we came to power". They seem to forget who gave them power. The whole political structure needs reviewing. Through out the so called Democratic world, we have allowed a reversal of the way things are supposed to be. We ask for protection and economic management, but instead get laws, restriction, and control. Politicians seem to ignore written constitutions which BELONG TO THE PEOPLE. They are supposed to uphold these terms and conditions. We have allowed it to happen, and need to understand that politics will not change unless we make them change. It's our car, and they are the chauffeurs. We want a ride not to be told how to sit. They will not change unless we change and that is by making our demands fully apparent.

The power is with the people- it's just not always aparent. But, thinking about it, perhaps the country is in need of a revolution.. I mean I support the Republican party, but the Dems. have some good ideas as well. But there is so much... hostiliity between both parties! If the Democratic party gains control of the senate, they'll refuse everything that Bush sends t othem... we all know that they will. And that's not only sad- it's PATHETIC.A good revolution would be if everyone got along peacefully without hostility towards other 'parties' or groups with different views. But that would be in a perfect world and.... it's not going to happen. So.... no, we wouldn't gain anything.

Yes your country needs a revolution. The 1960's revolution was stopped with reagan and bush Sr.. Now you are going back to the 1950's. Try the revolution you were denied. I'm Canadian and know you better than most Americans. Read and disseminate the United Nation's "Universal Declaration of Human Rights".
Also, look at your history. Your country was founded by Freemasons like Washington and Franklin. They would be ashamed of the new America. You are no longer following the ideals of your founding fathers.

Yes. If such a revolution happens, let it be a velvet revolution such as the collapse of the Soviet Union, East Germany, South Africa, Czechoslavakia...I am firmly in belief that when a governing body no longer serves a purpose it needs to be replaced. Jefferson would agree.

Actually, democracy is much the same in this country as it always has been. It's always just been sort of a myth that we have any kind of control.

There's plenty you can do.
Check out Socialist websites, Communist websites, Anarchist websites... the list goes on. Really research what you're saying, you'll find there's alot of others who think the way you do, but they're still a minority.
