did anyone hear the report about suitcase nukes in washington D.C. and New York? A journalist interviewed some terrorist leader, can't remember his name, and he said like"we have no time frame for the attack, just waiting for orders." The same one who ordered muslims out of the areas.

Well, the second this bill is signed America is truly dead. It will die to the praises of Cons who just can't see the big picture. Can just one of you Cons READ the law instead of watching FOXNEWS and letting them tell you it's a beautiful thing? Can Americans stop this law or is she too far gone?

You don't even have to leave your house to vote anymore. Actually, when those annoying people from the democratic or republican party call they would be more than willing to fill out an absentee ballot request form that gets an absentee ballot sent right to your house. This leads me to my question, why do so many Americans still not vote? Should we look down upon them? Revoke voting rights? Any thoughts?

I'm talking about the able bodied who just refuse to work. And I'm not talking about the people who do work but still need some assistance, or the truly disabled. I realize it's hard to make ends meet making minimum wage. I'm talking about those who won't work but instead mooch off the government and get every handout available. There's millions of these sponges out there. They get a check every month, free medical treatment, a housing allowance, food stamps and more. And they're having children with the same mentality, and expect the government to pay for as many as they want to have. The sky's the limit. When's the politicians going to have the gonads to stop this? I work in an emergency room and we see them by the hundreds. No job. On Medicaid. Trying to get on disability (usually for some BS reason). l've always said we need a representative of the Labor Dept. there handing out jobs along with the free medical care. When's this gonna stop?

You have to look around the world. All governments steal the money they want, and then they waste it. And then they want to steal more.

Are governments inherently bad or are humans in power inherently bad? Should one or both be eliminated, with prejudice?

"The improper communications between Congressman Mark Foley and former House Congressional pages is unacceptable and abhorrent. It is an obscene breach of trust," Hastert, R-Ill., Majority Leader John Boehner, R-Ohio, and Majority Whip Roy Blunt, R-Mo., said in a written statement Saturday evening. "His immediate resignation must now be followed by the full weight of the criminal justice system."

Don't get me wrong, I'm not FOR the big invasion of privacy that Bush and his cronies has been trying to push, but I'm not quite sure why people would be so up in arms. Don't you think that terrorist or criminal plots could actually be foiled in this way? Wouldn't the benefits outweigh the cons? And are the people who are angered by this those people with something to hide - like all those rich and powerful people in Congress who voted against it ?

I am all for civil unions with equal rights to a marriage, but I am AGAINST gay marriage. I think marriage is between a man and a woman only. If you want to marry somone of the same sex fine, but don't call it marriage. I think it is a matter of respect. There are men in this world and women in this world. Just because we have two different names doesn't mean one is less important or less equal. So why don't many gay people or their supports accept civil unions with same rights as marriage? Civil unions and marriage same legal status, different names but not difference in equality. I think that would be fair compromise.

If given the opportunity in a nationwide election would you vote to legalize marijuana and why?
It has been illegal for over 50 years,it's use is no less prevelant now than it ever was,it is safer than almost every legal over the counter or prescription drug currently on the market,so please remind me,why is it illegal??
Alchohol kills in excess of 15,000 people a year in America if you only count the traffic fatalities, tobacco kills what ten times that, and yet marijuana is illegal. It would also be nice if more Americans got educated on the subject by putting it on the ballot,to expose the mentality of those who first banned it and those who fight hardest to keep it banned, the floor debates alone are a hoot including a comment by one senator about marijuanas effects causing black farmhands to lose inhibitions and go after white women, and he didn't use the word black. I think it's about time America put our priorities in order and this would be a start.

I don't expect the world to be run by one person but a world group of leaders with every nation having votes would be less likely to have one guy or girl stealing the show and infuriating the others. What do you think? The UN would not count as such because the representatives that are members there are not the leaders but only people the leaders send to represent countries. They do not vote on what they world should do.
