"The improper communications between Congressman Mark Foley and former House Congressional pages is unacceptable and abhorrent. It is an obscene breach of trust," Hastert, R-Ill., Majority Leader John Boehner, R-Ohio, and Majority Whip Roy Blunt, R-Mo., said in a written statement Saturday evening. "His immediate resignation must now be followed by the full weight of the criminal justice system."

Did we ever say we believe the Republicans aren't condemning him? I don't think we did...
Hmm...birdsnake (below)-she is the same person who believes Democrats using our right of free speech are terrorists. What an idiot.
This next paragraph is dedicated to YOU bj Clinton.
Read it and weep:
The Clinton years had less unemployment, a bursting-through-the-roof economy, higher morals and ethics (the bj is nothing compared to Bush's "values"), an agressive anti-terror campaign (although not a perfect one), a reduced deficit, a higher approval rating, a higher standard of living for the middle class, and a net profit surplus of $127 billion.

Yep, its very hard for even glassy-eyed pistol waving redneck dittohead neocons to spin out of this one. And to save face, the GOP is throwing Foley under the bus. Its election season, after all. Funny, though, how some goofball neocons consider the condemnations from a very small number of Republicans about another pedophile Republican getting caught with his trousers down (literally) as somthing to be proud of.

Hastert knew about this "problem" well in advance as the boy's parents notified him. Why didn't he condem him then. Oh I know the repuglican ethic.

Sure, they're condemning him *today*.
The question is, did they know anything before? I don't know that answer, so I can't judge at this point. But we should at least have open minds to see if anyone turned a blind eye to this. If they did - then that's quite serious.

They knew about him long before the phone calls were recorded. They were warning pages about him so why did they allow him to stay in office? He should have been reported to the police by insiders who knew all about him.

I'm sure you guys are condemning him. It's a bad deal all the way around.
His actions reflect badly on the entire Congress, democrat and republican.

I'm at a loss here. I'm not sure what foley did wrong. I read said letters. they were harmless. they didn't insinuate anything. At best he was trying to become the kids friend and doing the "connect with the youth" thing I think he panicked and got this blown way out of porportion...

"Character Doesn't Matter". Democrat Slogan.
Clinton wasn't man enough to resign like Foley.
Clinton liked Interns. Clinton liked anyone except Hillary. She has bigger testicles than Billy Boy.
