Who cares what it meant to them 225 years ago. That is like trying to live your lifes to the bible which happened if it is even true over 2000 years ago.

This is now not then. Life and times are not the same. It needs to be adjusted to current times.

freedom from tyranny , persecution, taxation without representation, separation of church and state with the freedom to choose religion , and the injustice that England was pressing on them, but it was not handed over , it was payed for in blood and the cost of freedom isn't free . and it shouldn't be handed out as if it was
