Scientists say it will be caused by the moon, every year it moves about 6" away from earth, and in time, will mess up the earths gravitational pull with the sun. I forget how many years it is but you and I won't see it. Or George Bush will blow it up out of spite because nobody likes him.

this question should be either under astronomy or religion. The world isn't going to end unless a big meteor hits it or something.
WE might end, but the world will still be here.

Oh boy it would take all day to answer this one. Join some conservasion/environmental organizations and get on their mailing list, you will learn more than you ever wanted to about the shape our world is in. Ps if you do try not to get too depressed, lol.

what do you mean by that?
the earth being destroyed or humans becoming extinct?
if by world you mean present reality, that ends for someone everyday through natural death.

there are many possible ways. but the only devastating one would be Meteor strikes, which will clear even bacterias if it's big enough.
