I don't expect the world to be run by one person but a world group of leaders with every nation having votes would be less likely to have one guy or girl stealing the show and infuriating the others. What do you think? The UN would not count as such because the representatives that are members there are not the leaders but only people the leaders send to represent countries. They do not vote on what they world should do.

NO, DEFINETLY NOT.
WORLD WAS BASED ON DIFFERENT ETHNIC AND CULTURAL GROUPS AND SOCIETIES, AND LET THIS STAY THE WAY IT HAS BEEN THAT WAY FOR THOUSANDS OF YEARS, WHY CHANGE IT NOW. SOME POWER HUNGRY LEADERS OF THIS WORLD WANT TO TAKE OVER THE WHOLE WORLD AND RULE IT. THEY WANT TO CONTROLL THE WHOLE HUMAN RACE- THE MIDDLE AND THE POOR CLASS OF THE WORLD.
DON'T LET THIS HAPPEN.

Take a look at the mess the UN is in and ask this question again! In the countries that have dictators do you think that the dictators would give up their power. What do you think would happen to the richer nations? They would be raped! Take from the rich and give to the new leader. The US form of government is not perfect, but it is still the best form of government there is. We have made this country what it is by working hard to achieve what we have.As have the Brits and Canadians. If we put our countries in the hands of someone else we would be used by them.

The UN has proved that the corruption of these corrupt nations follows them wherever they go. Just Cofee An an. He has become personally rich and so has his son. All by using his position as UN General Secretary. No, I think it is a bad idea.

No. We should make them fight one another in gladiatorial contests if they won't sit down and talk about their differences like adults.

When will people realize that the UN represents the whole world? Every country. Just because the US doesn't agree with what the whole world votes for doesn't mean it's corrupt or "out to get you". Stop being so paranoid. That's democracy.

nah

the UN is suppose to function in that capacity but look at how ineffective the UN is

theres more corruption in the UN then in some South American countries.

Ideally it would be nice if we could all get along but
I doubt if thats a practical point of view

Theres allways going to be fighting between people
between tribes and between religious factions

Arms control and sanctions seem to be the only things that
work, at least some of the time

think again friend , as the U,N, wants to have a one world government and for them to be the head of it, and the way things are going it will no doubt happen , then you and I will be just another pheasant as they are in the other countries, so you had better pray we can find a strong leader who will lead us and not let the supreme court send us down the line on a one world government ticket.

I disagree. If there was one leader, he could dictate everything in the world and could base laws on his personal likes and dislikes. Absolute power corrupts absolutely.

That was Hitler's ultimate goal. Somehow the world at that time didn't think it was such a great idea...

It is called one-world government, and it would basically drive the US into poverty and despair, if not actually kill us all. I am old. Wait a while, then you can screw it up as you wish, after I am gone.
