Why did Hezbollah have a stockpile of 1000s of missiles? If they were for defensive purposes surely they should have been in the hands of the lebonese government. Surely they only had them for one reason... To attack Isreal, so this war would have happened eventually?

This ID is a national ID that will have a bio-signature of some sort (like a scan of your fingerprint). This is being implemented in the name of "national security" but don't buy into it. It is the first step towards an implantable chip using RFID technology, about the size of a pea, that will be implanted and used as the national ID. Look at the following link for the actual bill that was passed to implement this national ID (it's from the Library of Congress website - an official government website...sorry, this isn't a conspiracy, just plain ol' fact).

Nazi Germany, anyone?

I for one am not going to accept a card. It may mean I won't be able to drive, or do many other things for that matter, but so be it. I'm not going to turn over my soul to the government. I hope others will follow and not accept one. If nobody does, then it won't have any affect, and what are they gonna do, put us all in jail? If so, see ya there.

Do terrorists do the evil deeds for the sake of it.Are they in hope that the rest of the world will eventually beleive in their ideals of the Muslim faith.I dont beleive either is true.Could it be that the Capitalist attitudes of America frighten them to the point of the terrible acts they commit. Then its time for some serious talking.

regardless if there were WMD or not. The man was a sociopath, who murdered 1000s of innocents. Forget about the whole your president lied about WMD, and think about the outcome. Before the insults start, let me just say, "if" we were lied to, yes I think going to war under false pretenses is definitely wrong. But I honestly don't care if WMD ever existed, I believe it needed to be done. No I'm not a conservative, I am a liberal, just to get that out of the way. Now go ahead and rip me apart....

Bush illegally invades two middle eastern countries, and threatens Iran and Syria. There is no proof that Iraq had anything to do with 9/11. Oil speculators get nervous. The price of crude skyrockets. Chavez closes off oil shipments to US Citgo facilities. Now this Alaska news.

Clinton: $1.50/gallon

Bush: $3/gallon and climbing.

It's alomst like a supreme effort is being made to squeeze the US oil consumer for every last penny of profit, like we're being conditioned for something...

Anyone else see a pattern here?

Anyone think the invasion of Iraq was not about oil?

BTW, freeing the oppressed civilians of Iraq was a result of our invasion, not a reason given before we did it.

Civil remarks with facts and cites appreciated.

Israel is punishing the lebanese people for voting hez into the lebanese government, but i did not see lebanon punishing the israelites for the voting of Aerial Sharon who terrorized lebanon in 82 and massacred 100's in the sabra and chatilla camps. So where is the defence here? As always, some answers here baffles me! :-)

They die of more grievious things, and the rest of the world (so-called 'developed world') watches with folded hands and don't do a thing to help. Then they spend money on ridiculous safety measures that don't help them. What a show of wisdom if you ask me. Anyone out there agree with me?

you must hate everything about us right? So you should distance yourself as much as possible right? So you should stand fast in your convictions... like by giving up all of your american products. Such as the Internet, dev. by and for the American Military, or your computer in general. OH, and your cars, your television, electricity, vaccines, water pumps, indoor plumbing, refrigeration, air conditioning etc.. You can't even harvest your own crops, seeing as again, AMERICAN MADE.
So when you are sitting alone in the dark, quietly, starving, plagued, and overheating, you will be an even better target for us to conquer. Are you willing to do all of that for your convictions. Its not like your govt. would be able to help, since they are most likely receiving American Foreign Aid.
So good luck to you.
